my dad has been taking care of koi fishes for years. if i remember correctly before i go oversea, there are about 18+ of kois. some of them has been with me since i was small.
sadly some of them died when we move them to a bigger pond as we move our house. way to stress i guess haha
nezumitaro, your pond not very deep right?

QUOTE(nezumitaro @ Sep 10 2007, 02:56 PM) not very deep 3.5 ft only.. yup yup. can see it via the way the koi fish grew. because i see a differences on how koi fish grew when i followed my dad visit his friends if it is not deep, koi fish tend to grow fat or side ways This post has been edited by sotong4896: Sep 10 2007, 03:02 PM

QUOTE(nezumitaro @ Sep 10 2007, 03:57 PM) if deep enough, the fish will be more in balance in terms of body and beautiful. you wouldnt feel it is fat. deeper gives them more space to swim and exercise. i dont know how deep my dad's pond is, but as i recall it is at least around 7 - 8 ft. I wouldnt know haha since the shape of the pond already looks like an eight haha so maybe my dad make the pond with 8 ft deep for wealth fortune haha
