Ya, Android flagships have reached iPhone level pricing already. Gone are the days of good deals for Android phones, haha..

Hahaha, yeah, limited options now in the Android flagship space - but the midrange options are pretty good. Xiaomi is still pretty much the bang for buck option as far as value for performance is concerned, but on the downside is you have to put up with MIUI and its quirks. I've not used an OPPO since they redesigned ColorOS but the earlier version of ColorOS is freaking bad. I'd love to try a Pixel too but since it's never gonna be here officially so that's out. Huawei was a good option till they got blacklisted by US.

I'd never even consider another Samsung flagship after my years of experience trying this and that Exynos chipset over the other, so this round is different coz they are bringing the SD Gen 1 chipset to Malaysia officially instead - but like TS said, it's pricey. Also, Samsung's One UI may be refined and feature rich for most folks, but I feel it's bloated with a lot of unnecessary and unwanted apps - it's like they are trying too hard to force their ecosystem down our throats!

We will definitely miss OnePlus and OxygenOS now that the integration with OPPO is getting deeper...

Since the S22 series from Samsung is running SD processors now in Malaysia the OP 10 Pro will probably struggle even more in our local market - unless they price it aggressively.

The S22 Ultra comes with 30GB of used storage out of the box, bro. Talk about bloatware!

For that reason I’d still pick OxygenOS as my preferred Android UI, but I find it hard to pay the premium they are charging for their hardware coz till now, their cameras still can’t match Samsung or Apple and their support network is still relatively weaker, particularly in our country. They could end up being a very niche brand for just fans - but not sure if that is enough to support their lofty ambitions.

I think no one at BBK Electronics cares about OnePlus after Carl Pei’s departure bro… they are more focused on Oppo and Vivo for the Chinese and global markets, and focus on Realme and IQOO for India market

Ya bro, I remember it was a flash sale some years back and the O8 was going for like RM2k or something like that… I tried to grab one too but it ran out of stock before I could, hahaha Anyways, I’ve been using a S22 Ultra for a couple of weeks or more now as my work phone and to be honest it’s not all that exciting - maybe I’ve outgrown that phase where I get excited by new phones and what not, hahaha…

Hahaha, no la bro, skipping Android flagships for now. Plus the reviews of the 10 Pro isn't impressive especially on the camera and software part. Maybe after they finally return to OxygenOS..

Agree completely, the experience is subjective to each individual and I suppose I need to try it for myself at some point. But probably not on the flagship 10 Pro. Might get a Nord 2 or Nord CE 2 later in the year

I’ve not bought an Oppo phone before but I was assigned one as a temporary phone by the company for a few months. It was one of those older phones with 3GB RAM and the early version of ColorOS - and it sucked big time, hahaha… Anyways, we’ll see if OnePlus continues to stay independent or might eventually merge with the likes of Vivo and Oppo and become just one brand.. It’ll be interesting.
