I'm getting a quote for Solar system, but they told me it takes approximately 3 weeks to get the NEM3.0 approve from SEDA.

Not sure if i should installed it first, or I should wait till my application approve before installation.

Cause without NEM, means I have to get myself a big load of battery, which will be extremely costly and high maintanance.

THe previous FIT system was good .. ever since it switched to NEM, it has been a turnoff. Jealous when i see friends overseas get to harvest electric for their own use and sell back surplus to their electric company

My breakeven ROI is 5 years only..... anything after that is bonus. Already used 6 months, pretty up to my ROI mark. Where did you learn about the barely 10 years mark?

Interesting! So far, I havent seen anyone posted or used with 5yrs ROI?!

COuld you provide the initial bill prior to solar and solar investment cost and current usage/bill?

more than 10 years go when I was checking it was totally not worth it unless my monthly bill hits like 800

Currently my monthly is only about rm300 so for 5 years my TNB bill is only at 18k.
Tkasih!

Not true. All NEM quota give 1 to 1 buy back price for excess cap to 10kw. After expiring, you just move on to normal FiT which of course the buy back price is following market.
