Really sad to see another player die on the pitch. These players are paid to play, not to risk their life on the pitch. I know all jobs have occupational risk but this guy who died here is so undeserving. The video that i saw here tells it all, really sad.

Maybe its the stress that these sportsman go thru in order to succeed. Players nowadays are super athletes and their physical ability is almost at its threshold. Thats probably why some of them just can't take it anymore and just collapse and die.

He was about to break into the national team and was one to look out for...
His girlfriend is expecting and I can't imagine what she must be going through..

They (Sevilla) also postpone this weekend's Primera Liga match.

Heard that she was already 8 months pregnant. No idea how true it is though. Seems that he has been fainting a lot this past year or so. Doctor couldn't figure out anything wrong with him though.

I doubt any of the remaining Sevilla players be able to play football at the moment, given the current circumstances. Even myself who's not even heard of him before feel really bad over his death. I hope in future there's proper screening of player's physical ability before drafting them into football squads.

It's true that his gf is pregnant..how far along i'm not too sure..
It seems that he had a congenital heart disease. Similar to Marc Vivien Foe. They normally only find out about it after post mortem as you normally can't detect it unless u already know u have it.

Will Sevilla be in the market for a new LB? In cases like this, does Sevilla receive compensation from insurance companies or such?
