hi everybdy..newbie here.. smile.gif
last week i heard from eco analyst(forget his name) the 1st nation tht may recover from eco crisis is china..
*
China is not facing any economy crisis right now, nor in recession. China is still growing at the rate of around 6-8%, which is significant slowdown compared to 10-11% previously.
If China is in recession, the situation is much more devastating as China economy is not as same with the rest, without growing at certain pace, a lot of problem will be surfacing especially the overcapacity and umemployment side.

So how can the word "recover" can be used? tongue.gif

China is still heavily relied on export and US consumer for their goods. So if worldwide economy doesn't recover, any "recovery" in China has some some certain limit, as it cannot stand on its own just based on its domestic economy.

That's why they put up trillion worth of stimulus package to boost up the domestic demand to offset the export shrinkage and hope domestic demand grow in size and stronger.

Until now, it is impossible for China to take over US economy as main worldwide economy or consumption nation as China economy is about 1/4 of US economy eventhough has 10x population more than US.

Any recovery is worldwide based now as now it is globalisation economy. Just degree or recover may be differ due to competitiveness and dynamic of a economy.
When we see recovery, we see it across, when we see recession and slowdown, we also see it across the world just like what hapenning now.

A real index fund won't target to outperform the index. A real index fund is to mimic and perform according to the index.

Yeah,That's why I go for Unit Trust instead of stock.

PB Growth Fund has the highest return.I thunk I should go for it.. wink.gif

Ther return rate is all depended on its portfolio stocks performance which can vary every year.

Generally growth fund will invest into some growth stocks that potential has higher risk one compared to dividend fund.

Cannot say this abc fund has the highest return then must go for it, as risk wise could be greater than others, i.e. if market bad time, one could see adversed situation in greater degree.

I would say if you look for comparison of the fund, look at what they are investing to have better understanding, instead of just merely looking at its name only.

This is actually the highest paying dividend unit trust fund in 2008 smile.gif

For actual comparison, look at NAV incremental. Dividend in UT is derived from NAV incremental which will deduct out the NAV of the fund.

That's why for benchmarking comparison, nobody look at dividend rate but on NAV movement.

may i know when is the best time to buy UT?
i am interested to buy one fund....but it is going to declare distribution end of this month....

could anyone here would give me some opinions...
should i buy b4 the distribution so that i can get the distribution too at end of this month....or wait after it distribution so that can buy at lower NAV?

really hope someone could help to answer my question....tuvm smile.gif

Distribution means nothing at all, you don't gain any out of it, while distribution needs to be taxed.

Nobody knows or can time the market, if one can, he/she already rich or become billionaire already.

Any time can be best time, any time also can be a bad time. Nobody knows.

Just becareful when market has run up a lot time, generally some pull back is expected, but there is no guarantee it will.

Equities market consequently that affect UT price is depended on economy situation.
