I Just bought a new monitor but it came with 4 dead pixels. Asked for RMA but according to shop, minimum is 7 dead pixels for RMA.

AOC malaysia's website/fb totally silent on the number of pixels for RMA and only reply my message once, few days ago. Didn't reply my query since.

Thinking whether I should just return the monitor and buy another brand, asus or acer.

That's for dead pixels that develop over time while in warranty. There's usually another criteria for dead pixels on a brand new monitor. Viewsonic, for example, is 2 pixels, 1-to-1 exchange within 7 days. Apple is 1 pixel anytime while in warranty but they'll only replace it once.

at least most major brand I saw got state minimum
