GG, so means you now have to pay the overdue amount from the previous-previous owner?

Nope, my current lawyer will make sure the seller settle it before remaining can disburse to the seller.

Onus on your current seller to settle whatsoever utilities outstanding as disbursement will no be done unless otherwise.
Yup, that's what my current lawyer trying to do, no settlement on the TNB, no deal.

If seller didn't settle the outstanding, the sale won't go through.
Alternatively, buyer settle the arrears and get on with life.
I don' want that suprise...

How TNB just disconnect the account yet not the meter??
Really curious...
I also curious how it happen (insider job ??)...

Please discuss with your lawyer. Your lawyer will take a portion of the purchase price to pay off the outstandings with TNB. Please get the previous owner/seller to do this and to restore everything because you can be charged for stealing electricity if not done correctly.
According to my lawyer, the seller is doing now... I just wonder any member here experience similar that can share the experience for my/others benefit..
