Hi fellow Ativa owners. New owner here and I have searched the forum to no avail. Would like to find out personal experience of any owner who has done the following but the SC did not find fault in voiding the warranty: 1) Installing after market infotainment along with 360 camera. Infotainment is just plug and play while 360 requires tapping
2) sound proofing car - doors, engine and floor
If strictly just checking the car warranty, any of these would like considered already void warranty for the relevant parts. There’s a clause in the warranty booklet saying if we get written permission from perodua, it will be okay but I suppose no SC will be willing to put that in B&W for that kind of guarantee.

QUOTE(myteam94 @ Mar 29 2023, 08:51 AM) personally for infotainment, if plug n play, it is a must change stuff for Ativa and i believe it is only for 3 years of warranty (basic warranty). What does the 3 year refer to? For electronic such as the digital instrument cluster? Would it affect our usual servicing at SC?

QUOTE(myteam94 @ Mar 30 2023, 10:29 AM) Not affect anything with our usual servicing to SC, it just if anything relate to the HU change got issue.. can’t claim warranty je. Eg: Reverse camera problem or speaker problem.. bit susah nak claim since got HU change Ah I spoke to someone from SC and they say if digital cluster is affected, the warranty would be void. Sigh, looks like I can only fix the i lnfotainment but not the 360 which comes with it. Anyway do you know if sound proofing may void warranty as well?
