Me too. At first, I thought my phone will be slower after the update. Thank God it's vice-versa.
Now let's see if power consumption is better than before or just the same
But I'm not putting high hopes on it since my Mi 11 is already 2 years old laugh.gif

Xiaomi Malaysia tried to scam me today
They tried to replace my faulty Mi 11 with 11T which is downgrade although they were trying to tell me that it's an upgrade

11T is always the budget version of their flagship models. Diorang ingat aku ni standard consumer?
That's it. I'm definitely staying away from Xiaomi in the future
Anyone can help me make this viral? Nak kena ajar Xiaomi Malaysia ni

Processor downgrade from Snapdragon 888 to Mediatek MT6893
Screen brightness downgrade from 1500 nits to 1000 nits
Screen resolution downgrade from 1440x3220 to 1080x2400
No GPS sensor NavIC (L5)
No wireless charging
No OIS

They should change to 11T Pro kot..
The only differences between 11T & 11T Pro is the processor
The rest of the hardware is exactly the same as the 11T
It's still a huge downgrade

If Xiaomi is a good brand, they should follow other brand's footsteps which is the 3 option below:
1. Replace with the same unit or
2. Upgrade to a newer flagship model or
3. Refund the amount I paid for the phone

Whenever the letter T is behind the model number, it's definitely a downgrade no matter if it's a newer model

Finally! After submitting a report to KPDN, Xiaomi Malaysia have agreed to give me a refund

I'm never going back to Xiaomi if they continue treating their customers like this

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Apr 10 2023, 10:57 PM)
Interested to know if you spoke to the outlet manager or anyone from Xiaomi Msia and what their response were?
I bought an iPhone from Carousell and surprise suprise, the seller is actually working with Xiaomi Malaysia, cannot tell his name or his position but he did agree to help me chase the refund but at that time it was only 3 days after Xiaomi Malaysia has agreed to refund me
QUOTE(-kytz- @ Apr 10 2023, 10:57 PM)
They did not have a Mi 11 to pass to you, hence, offered you the 11T instead? Surely, they should have offered the Mi 12/13 instead
The iPhone seller (the Xiaomi Malaysia staff I mentioned earlier) actually agreed that I shouldn't have gotten a Mi 11T and told me I should've at least gotten a Mi 12 & he asked me which service center did I sent my unit to
His thinking was that the service center I sent to is the one who messed this up. Though I'm not entirely sure how true this is but I couldn't care less since I will be getting my money back

But all in all, I'm glad this happen. I got a full refund and I got to buy a fairly new iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB with 100% battery health + Apple warranty until October 2023 with zero scratches + full original packaging for only RM3K laugh.gif
Even before all of this happens, I originally planned to switch to iPhone 15 believing it will use USB Type-C but since my Mi 11 breaks, I need another phone ASAP & my experience with Android has been squished by Xiaomi with their slow firmware updates, buggy OS & bad after sales support so I decided to stay away from Android altogether and just get the previous gen iPhone thinking when it's time to switch to iPhone 15, the price of my current iPhone wouldn't drop much since we all know iPhone price really hard to come down except when the support from Apple stopped (when the phone is no longer getting iOS updates like iPhone 7)

PS: The aforementioned service center company was HightPoint Service
QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 10 2023, 11:28 PM)
Glad u received it, more and more company here, only entertain after get KPDNKK in the loop
Yeap. This matter thought me a lesson to immediately file a complain to KPDNKK if a certain brands are not meeting their standards when providing after sales support
QUOTE(Don't Troll me! @ Apr 11 2023, 12:30 AM)
From the bank acc, looks like a local distributor. Not official xiaomi.
Who cares as long as I got my money back LOL laugh.gif

have anyone of you guys change the mi11 battery?where can i find a good one battery..almost 2 years usage battery seems to drain faster than it suppose to do..hope you guys can help
Sell your Mi 11 before the WiFi chip dies out
All Mi 11 suffers the same flaw, it's just a matter of time

But if you insist on keeping the phone, you can ask Xiaomi to replace it for you so you'll get a 100% genuine battery instead of all the fakes everywhere
The price isn't that expensive anyway

Xiaomi phone parts prices: https://www.mi.com/my/support/guidance/materialprice/

Battery: RM67.90
Labor: RM60

Total: RM127.90

Service center:
https://www.mi.com/my/service/repair/

PS: You may have to call several service centers to schedule an appointment & check if they have the parts in stock

just hoping it will survive those problem
Trust me, it's just a matter of time
Maybe not 1 year, maybe not 2 years but sooner or later, it'll happen at random
And the issue doesn't just affect WiFi alone, it also affects Hotspot as well

All Mi 11 models is plagued with this issue

Hence the reason why I suggested you to sell your Mi 11 while you still can sell them
Once the WiFi issue happens on your Mi 11, you won't be able to sell it for a good price, not even RM500

Might to share when you bought the phone? Apr 2021? Got 2 years warranty?
Activated the phone on 25 March 2021
RMA on 21 March 2023, only a few days before the warranty expires

Yes. 2 year official Xiaomi Malaysia warranty
Why you ask?

It's for Mi 11. The vanilla Mi 11. Not for Mi 11T/Mi 11 Pro/Mi 11 Ultra
Using iPhone now. So I have no use for these

Can meet in Subang Jaya / Glenmarie
PM me if you want them

That's why I keep advising everyone in here to sell their Mi 11 before the problem arises.
It's only a matter of time, regardless of how much you cherish it.
