lazy to re-type again. yawn.gif

Penryn has SSE4. With SSE4, it can speed up the instruction application (40% faster according to macrumors speculation). Although the cache is lower compare to merom, but overall performance still faster than merom wink.gif

okay so i'm studying at UiTM and am now planning to buy a macbook specifically for studies. personally, i consider myself mostly an apple virgin. the only apple products i have is my ipod nano. i've never ever used a mac ever before, be it a desktop or a macbook. so i really need advice on which hardware should i buy? which is worth my money? which is better for a student with a limited budget?

thanks in advance guys.

if you are on limited budget,
get the cheapest MacBook (RM3899) if you want portability,
get the cheapest Mac Mini (RM2199) if you want desktop.

P/s--bear in mind, both machine that stated above are not recommended for extreme gaming.

Hey there buddies.  I have questions regarding my 3+ weeks old mbp:

1. my battery charge goes down from 100% to 96%, everyday by 1% when I kept it plugged in the power outlet. when it reached 95% charge, the battery will then recharge back to 100%. then the process described above will cycle itself again. is this normal? i wonder how many charge cycle before it "dies"?

2. i'm using Safari to browse the internet. using Hotmail, the words overlap itself rclxub.gif  (see the attachment). what is wrong? i thought there's something wrong with the fonts cache but i cleaned it up using Onyx.
*
1. It's normal for MacBook family

2. some of MBP user facing this problem. check at apple forum at apple.com/support/discussion

nope really. Only for santa rosa batch and above. The previous C2D still consider as 32bit machine due to the mobo is 32bit.
*
yeap.
thats true.
the actual 2GB RAM limitation is for the Core Duo MacBook
after that, came out the pre-santa rosa which can support up to 3GB of RAM,
even it can be fork up to 4GB RAM, it only address 3GB.

then the santa rosa and the latest MacBook came out which can support up to 4GB.
this generation of MacBook is purely 64bit machine.
