yaya..i dont think wanna change food..lucky i bought 2kg..i will mix slowly to finish up the 2kg nutro then i'll stick back with science plan till age 6~7mth then only change to blackwood when his ok with me,environment & training

soak how long ar... er I just put in one tupperware, add hot water (just enough to cover the kibbles), then close the lid, usually an hour before Miki's meal time. By that time, the kibbles already very soft, not so hot, and no more water... so it is not that messy when Miki eat. She eats very fast.

If the kibbles haven't absorb all the water, it will be hard to bite and will be super messy when Miki eats more cleaning needed.

Poo ar... of course got poo smell, acceptable smell la... I never change her food before, and don't know if she will be able to produce odorless poo

hehehe ......ya wor...that time my luilui eat science plan puppy..and she love science plan very much too ..and really fast learner after eat science plan oso yalor wait till miki 6-7month old only can oso nvm but not recommend to change too much dog food brand..if found out the dog food is good then stick to the dog food brand

In that case, why don't you just buy more SP then feed Bebe SP first.. when he is more familiar with you, then slowly introduce him the nutro?

What is the use of protein for dog?

I think as long as the pup eat what you feed him/her, and it don't get sicks.. you can accept the smell of the poo... just go on with it lor

I think I will stick to Science Plan, but maybe not lamb & rice... try other flavour maybe the smell will improve. When I open the tupperware where I store the food, whole house smells the food.. then Miki will jump madly de... I took her video before her meal, later after I edit then I share with you guys...

Added on September 8, 2007, 6:37 pmHmm... now no need already, she grow up very fast, can bite better... half and hour will do... I soak for very long when I just brought her back, sometime I just leave it longer so it is not so hot, because I soak with hot water leh...

7.5kg is A LOT!! I put half in one big container, then use cling wrap to wrap all over... then keep aside. Another half I seperated into 2 BIG tupperware, the Tupperware company one, it is tighter then the normal one you get from supermarket. We human, can't really smell the food anymore, but I know Miki can smell it, because she always look at the tupperware Get a good container won't masuk angin.. I think kibbles also same like our biscuits, masuk angin not nice to eat anymore rite? Then it is not that good...?

well the orijen brand consist 40% of protein for a small dog is too much and to those indoor dog which is rarely go out to burn off those protein it may gives more heaty which is lead to skin disease and grow more fat if every day just sit at home and rest which is no exercise at all Haha but if the dog can handle the dog food then stick back to the dog food lor..change too much brand no good oso.

science plan poo smell still ok la...ohya iluv2zz the science plan u keep the dogfood bar code..i think u know that science plan got redemption gift wan rite?

doesnt mean the most star of the dog food brand own meaning tat the dog food is the best.
the expert which is Hun telling this before. so if the doggie eat the dog food and it ok with it and nothing happen like drop fur..blahs...then can just continue and stick back to the dog food

just now i wanna go to the shop behind my house to get some stuff,then i notice my backlane got a house they got a white m schnauzer..haha

Miki's first toy is the baby teething thing I bought from supermarket... no pet store near here, and I didn't bought any toys from petbuddy... the baby teething thing is silicone, keeps her busy biting for a while... second toy LOL... is the cloth clip... actually no intend to give her play the clip, just that when my mom was hanging the cloth, then the clip accidentally drop to the floor, then Miki grab it... see her play so cute, just let her bite lah...

Then get her a soft ball with bell inside (see picture), Miki chase badly lahh...

The most recent toys is a silicone (bone shape) this is bigger then the baby one, and easier for Miki to bite... most toys we bought for her is for her to bite one... ohhh.. another her favourite toy is cloth hahaha... she has her personal bite-bite hand towel.. she know which is her towel, so she won't grab the floor map Clever girl

For those worried about the colouring on your furkids soft toys i would say the worst place to get them toys would be from the pet stores themselves - why? Because the majority of the burgers etc are either made in China or Thailand and are brandless, hence no QC. From my experience, most are just lower grade normal children toys
I have also gotten plastic chew toys that 'pecah' after being chewed on... hopefully no bits got eaten. As such I no longer buy the 'no-brand' kind and usually stick to Nylabone, a bit more expensive but a lot more peace of mind.
As for the Ty toys, they too are made in China, however Ty is a very reputable beanie bear manufacturer and hopefully their QC is better. I won't want my kids chewing in lead painted toys

Also on the subject of dog kibbles, please guys, you can do a lot lot better than Science Diet (or do they call themselves Science Plan nowadays). Google it up and you'll notice that it has as bad a rep as pedigree pal - at least pedigree is cheap. Science Plan is expensive and crap!

I too have noticed that many are starting to feed blackwood. From what I've heard it is rather good. Never tried it though, cause the packaging appeals to me not! Nutro I'm not too familiar with.
I alternate between the Eagle Pack holistic varieties and add in a dash of Novacote plus. I feed very little - 40g a day which is one medium sized scoop. Anymore and my kids will put on extra weight (high protein coupled with low exercise ). On weekends i substitute with Ceaser which i doubt is any good but they seem to enjoy it.

When both my furkids were puppies they had their fair amount of skin problems. The vets suggested a change of food (breeder used Science Diet) - and at that time there were three holistic choices - IIRC they were;

Canidae All Stages Food which I was prejudiced against as it wasn't a puppy formula - it was all-in-one (which on hindsight was stupid cause I have subsequently realised that the only difference in puppy food is its protein content)

Hund n Focken Solid Gold Lamb n Rice Puppy Formula (long name init?). This one was the one I fed to my furkids and sure enough the skin problems vanished. I did not have to bring them for any skin dip etc in the vets whatsoever. As such, I conclude that this was indeed the best (but unfortunately most mahal) dog kibble around at that time. However, there was a period when this food was unavailable and had to be bought from Singapore hence the switch to Eagle Pack Holistic. I have however heard that the formula for solid gold was changed middle of last year but the good news is that it is now available quite reasonably priced at pet safari. Thinking about changing but Eagle Pack Holistic isn't giving my kids any problems either...

You guys going tomorrow for the carnival? I'll be going, but my kids will stay at home - fiancee not around so can only bring one, and as usual cannot decide who to bring so both stay home!
