Aiyo i don't think it's a good idea to act 'guai guai shee shee' like this. Not good for both ur dog and ur parents. NewbieBetta, you should confront your parents, at least this shows u respect them ma, tell them u get a dog dy, then you will be responsible on bebe from wiping poo to grooming. I'm sure they won't be so cruel to you. Sooner or later, after they see dat u're really responsible, they'd sure change their mind de la. You know older generation they're quite 'hard neck' de.

I think dun use cotton bud , u use the cotton ball or cotton pad which is the facial cotton

Tips of clean furkid's ear :
(1) Get ready facial cotton pads and a good ear cleaning lotion get it from petshop will do''
(2) DAMP <not wet ''> the cotton pad with the ear cleaning lotion. Using your finger, gently clean the inside of your dog's ears, wiping from inside to out.
(3) Work your fingers GENTLY into the folds and wipe OUTWARDS (do not push dirt or wax into the ear) the dirt.


Thing to be extra careful !!!

(1) A dog's ear canal is different from us , in that a dog's ear canal can trap water more easily. So do not get moisture/water into a dog's ear. Trapped moisture/water can cause an infection.so better aware of this happen

If ear has infection will be very smelly is it?

not it wont...put few drop , then masage then use the cotton facial pads with the liquid lotion glently clean ur Bebe ear.

water will cause infection not the dog's ear cleaning lotion

Yes normally the ear infection u can specify it urself when the smell is very very strong which is come from the ear .

but then ear effection is easy to avoid .

newbie , hope this help when u get ur Bebe.
1) pluck the ear canal hair once a week ? depend on u
(2)Use ear cleaner to clean your MS weekly after bathing.
(3)any ear cleaner but dun use rojak brand (im sure u not )? haha.
(4)Put few drop of the ear cleaner into the ear and massage it about 1 min
(5) then use a cotton butt to clean the ear just around the ear canal area
(6) Make sure don't poke to deep in the ear (important)

No idea if he's a racist boy or wud . He doesn't have the chance to see those buang sampah indian ppl . He's an indoor dog and i'm staying in condo . But one thing for sure is he dislike my friend . When I bring him to the park every week, there's two indian ah pek jaga the park one. Hepy didn't bark at them bah except the first time when I took him there - unfamiliar. Now when the indian ah pek call him "come", Hepy will go to him ler .. hehe.

So far, my parents still do not know the dog belongs to me. They thot it belongs to my housemate. So, so far so good lor. But I didn't plan to keep it a secret from them forever lar. After I grad, I'll let them know but that's when I have my own home - married or buy my own house lar . My parents do not visit me often though - so, easy for me to keep it a secret . Actually, my parents are not against me having pets . We used to have australian terrier when I was a kid. The only thing which my dad does not like is the dog entering our sleeping rooms lor. He said it's not hygienic . Otherwise, it's okay. Our australian terrier is an outdoor dog but he does roam freely in our house last time except bedrooms .. hehe. But anyway, now isn't a right time for to tell them yet coz i'm still studying. Wait till i get a job first .. hehe.

so far, hepy does not smell very badly. The smell comes from his beard. Last time when he does not have any beard, no smell at all - 100% odorless. Now that he's having the ah pek beard, the beard does stink. I rub his beard with corn starch, then comb away the corn starch. Then use diluted baking soda to wipe his beard. I do it roughly around 2-3 days once. So far his ears never stink coz I clean his ears very very regularly. I pluck his ear hair every week and I clean his ear with ear solution once in every 2-3 days.

If u clean his ear once a week, maybe will have a little bit of smell lor. If you think that his ears are really really super dirty, you might wanna clean his ears daily until you find that his ears are not so dirty anymore, then reduce it to maybe once in every few days or once per week. The smell is there coz there're hair inside, which causes the dirt to trap on the hair. That's why stink. The important bit is to pluck off the hair first. Don't apply too much ear solution .. jz 2-3 drops are sufficient. Too much, later his ears inside all wet .. hahahaha.

If ear infection, the smell is unbearable!! Hepy got it once last time when I went back to my hometown for holiday for 3 weeks. My housemate didn't clean his ears for him or bath him at all. When i came back, wahhh, he looked like jungle man . And his ears arr ... damn smelly!!! And I saw him kept scratching his ears and shaking his head nonstop. I took him for full grooming and can actually see his ears inside were inflammed ady. Super smelly ar!! Anyway, I dunno if it was because my housemate didn't bath him and clean his ears for 3 weeks - datz y infected coz too dirty OR the groomer plucked his ear hairs too roughly ady and causes the injuries.. not too sure

My house got 2 toilets, one used to be store room... now we moved everything inside and put Miki's cage to cover the toilet bowl (squat type)... then that toilet is her room lor... but then notice she don't like to sleep at the cage at all, everytime come out from the cage and sleep on the toilet floor... we didn't lock her in cage at night, because want her to pee/poo outside the cage... end up, she pee/poo in the cage and sleep outside.. totally opposite from what we wanted so last 2 days we remove the cage already, because it is harder to wash the cage with poo... we don't close the toilet door, or else she might be having "spa" there just use the tray (of the cage) and block the entrance of the toilet

dunno what are they called in malay .. hahahaha.. I'm banana. Get from Taman Megah there "bake with yen" - cheaper!! hhehehehe. Everywhere also got corn starch but not too sure about baking soda.

Don't get baking soda from supermarket of hypermarket. Always sold as baking powder and very little bottles but with a big price.... Get from Organic shops of Bake with Yen.... much much cheaper. 500g from the Organic shop at Ikano is only Rm2.50 while a small bottle of 70g from Giant is RM1.90.... which is better?

corn starch call tepung ubi de... if not mistaken, but u say tepung jagung they also understand LOL.. but if you go shopping centre buy, see packaging sure will write corn starch. Same with baking soda... I think even Malay girl you say baking soda she also understand la..

luckily mikey's ears don grow a lot of ear hair one so i don gotta worry bout his smell in the ear much and i clean his ears eveyr 2 days with the ear cleaning lotion

the lotion won cause infection because all it does is dissolve the ear wax for u to clean and some can even cause the water stuck inside the dog's ear to dry up faster...

when u pluck la u pluck inner a lil cause they've got less receptors in there so they won feel pain...the hard part i think is actually getting them to lay down quietly for you to pluck the hair

let say if u get a ms from alan haha..then u will have a furkid with lotsa ear hair..haha..
