I'm using AX86U with 2 other 5-series Asus routers as AiMesh nodes

House is 3 levels ~5,000 sq ft with no issues

Try to use only the 20Mhz channel width for 2.4G and 40Mhz for 5G, which will give you the best balance of speed / stability

If you would like to use the 80Mhz or 160 Mhz channel width for 5G, you will likely need to to setup some mesh nodes

Also, use the upper channel numbers for both 2.4 and 5 bands

Thx, yup mesh will fixed all issue just that I can't place on my condo hallway due to no power socket unless in the back of the room which not so prefer for direct beam hehe!!
Let me reduce it to 20Mhz for better stability....thx

Based on the advices and feedbacks, I move AX11000 to new green tick highest position and toward most corner of the hallway as initially it was placed at X location beside the tall speaker with much lower position. Even it look more ugly as a bit like 1 spider climb up the top of the speaker hahaha but new position did showed much stronger in term of signal strength for both worst room 3 and 4 (~25ft n 2-3 walls from room 1 and 2), wondering could it be the speaker inner magnet potential might create some blocking interference when place beside it.

Afternoon traffic normally much "clearer" and so far WIFI 2.4ghz much better at -59 to -62 dBm compare to previous position -70 dBm but I will test out tonight under worst congested WIFI 2.4ghz traffic environment on both worst rooms again.

In term of setting, I remain per default now as wanna verify the position noise 1st with WIFI 2.4Ghz currently on auto bandwidth 20mhz, auto channel #9, WIFI 6/AX enabled and max MCS11 while all WIFI Agile Multi-band, Protected Management Frames (PMF), WMM No-Acknowledgement as well as Optimize AMPDU Aggregation remain as default disabled.

Thx

Last nite tested ~8-8.30pm and ~9.30-10pm with both sessions show good WIFI 2.4ghz signal strength dBM and speed test.

Repeated 1 more round of WIFI 2.4ghz validation test at worst far end of room 3 location (~25ft, ~3 walls, wardrobe, cabinet etc) by moving back and forth for old Vs new router position, comparison result as below.
Attached Image
- Significant different of WIFI 2.4ghz performance at new higher position and few inches closer to the edge of wall with massive speed test while signal strength wise about -59 to -60 dBM Vs -68 to -70 dBM.
- Summary will be even on default setting with WIFI6 enable on 2.4ghz, WIFI able to hit promising speed by just moving ~1.6 ft higher and ~8 in toward hallway.
- Tweak WIFI setting might help a bit per previous play around with WIFI6 disabled, dedicated channel, bandwidth etc but concern on the fluctuate performance stability while height position remain the major improvement workaround even position kind of weird and not so "designer delight" way haha!!!

Appreciate all the advices from fellow members,

Thx

2.4g setting should set to 40mhz and try either channel 1 or 13...test both and if still cannot means there is no chance at the position

The new position looks good but old lower position quite hard to get stable performance when test with 1 and 11. Thx
