Hi there,

We just found out that I am pregnant. Wondering what to do next? I haven't gone for a scan.

We're starting to look for obgyn doctor to engage with, do you have any recommendations? Who are the well-known ones around our area? We're based in KL so we're looking at these hospitals - Pantai, Gleneagles, Columbia Asia setapak, Ampang Puteri.

Also, how do I research a doctor's track record in checkups and delivering babies?

Would really appreciate some advice, this is our first pregnancy.

Can google up nearest Klinik Kesihatan Ibu & Kanak2, foc check ups, they will even come check post natal. Free jabs, free check ups for mom and baby, free vaccination, free supplements.

Can deliver at govt hospital, at most RM 30 to 50 TOTAL.

Private can expect RM 70 to RM 200 per check up and delivery between RM 5k to upwards RM 15k (c sec)

My wide delivered at sunway velocity and it was Dr. Chuah bee Poh. So far, we are happy with his professional service. My wife water broke and baby came out 1 month early, thank God that she still managed to have normal delivery. I believe there is another thread about this Dr. Chuah in lowyat that you can refer to.

But be prepared for long waiting if you didn’t manage to book any appointment with him and walk-in.
