Wow, congrats! Did you trade in your old car to P2? Heard if you trade in your car allocation queue is faster. Can someone verify this?
*
I doubt that. I didn't trade in my old car but I got the car last Saturday. Based on an official reply from Perodua someone shared in an FB group, and what my SA shared with me, I got it early because I booked on the 1st day and picked the grey color.

How was it?
Considering to dispose my 2015 Vios for this
But feel like it is a downgrade
*
To me, it's brilliant and perfect for my needs. Yes, it is a downgrade if you consider the comfort, ride and handling of a sedan. After all, you'll be disposing a B-segment sedan for a compact SUV that's barely B-segment. The L2 autonomous driving and safety features at that price though, is what gives it amazing value for money.

Collected my car 8AM just now. AV glittering silver color. Was squatting like apek at the showroom side as SA scheduled 8.30AM but was surprise suddenly the car driven to the front of me. SA immediately asked me to drive because I had never test drive car until now! Was very surprise the very moment I drove it. It feels good even in the small area I have driven at that moment. Then, I checked everything like chassis number, engine number and looking for dents and what not. Drove back home and here is what I personally think.

What I like
I really like the drive on this car. It has that nimble feeling of a Myvi but it moves a lot faster and this car moves without any struggle. A gentle tap on the pedals gets you going. Loves the crystal clear JDM cluster meter and that huge Civic FD lookalike speedometer. The steering is nice to hold with the sculptured shape, it fits in your palm nicely although I felt it could be better if it's slightly smaller in size. The vibration of the engine is minimum from the cabin although the noise mostly come from the tires. I would probably deflate the tires a bit after this as they probably pumped it more than the recommended value. At first, I don't really like the red stripe on the seat, but I started to like it more now. I even bought a Trapo mat with red lining to match it but it's not here yet. Air-conditioner is super cool coming from a local car. The Llumar tint I believe is enough to do the job and the color itself gives a feel-good vibe especially the rear windows. Reverse camera is clear but not crisp enough although miles ahead of my H-RV's blur camera. Seats are very good and thick, and in fact probably the best seat made by Perodua today and even better than those in a Honda Jazz or BR-V. I have also tried the MirrorLink with no prior experience on it or Android Auto. I really like it but I can see why some people sort of hate it. The setup is pretty straight forward but you could easily missed some toggling of setup on your phone because of impatient. Tried YouTube and Waze, it works awesomely. Haven't tested out the safety specifications other than the blind spot warning doing it's job when a motorcyclist trying to get too near during a corner.

What I wish they have done better
The brake is a bit too soft to my liking and it will need some practice to get used to it. The seat at back definitely need an extra 5 cm at least to make it more comfortable for longer range travel. The rear door is a bit too light as what batik shirt boy at PaulineTan also mentioned. The door opening sensor should also be included on the front passenger door. I don't really like the feeling of the gear knob shifting when shifting from one mode to another as it is not very distinct. The air-conditioner control is ugly and button is too soft. They should have stick to the original knobs on the JDM model.
What I wish they have
DRL but it's not a deal breaker. Some people would argue about the lack of 360 camera but car this small, if you need it, you probably should take bus as you are not aware enough of the spatial surrounding.

Summary
I think it is really a good car and gives the most bang for bucks. I always thought there's a hole in our car market in the RM60K-70K region that was never fill by any car brand. Most the car in this price bracket are either too old or lacked safety feature. I'm sure Perodua studied this well. I think anyone that thought of buying this car, go for a test drive drive and it will surprise you. And don't listen to the rumors and haters, it's your money at the end of the day. Even the X model I believe has better value proposition than a Myvi (or any Proton cars other than X50 & X70) despite the lack of the LCD screen.

The very moment I drove the car onto the main road, that "evil" feeling which I felt every time I drove my old manual Myvi kicks in.
That sums up everything...

Welcome to the club, bro! Yours not that evil, mine is Granite Grey so looks dark like a Decepticon, yours still an Autobot. laugh.gif

Yes, I would think downgrade in comfort, quietness and stability.
My gf got a new Vios and I took Ativa, I can say Vios is best in class for the 3 things above. Ativa is not bad, probability better compared to last gen car, but back is kinda bumpy, back seat are just ok. However 70k get adaptive cruise, damn. Can feel the auto slow down or breaking but not jerky, good if u travel a lot using highway even in kl or Selangor but not stop go traffic la.
So u take d bullet?

Yeah, I've been cruising around with the ACC for almost a month now. thumbup.gif
