Never had issues. Did not RMA anything with them yet though. I usually go directly to the distributor for RMA these days.
*
Oh. But I plan to buy Manli. Seems like there's no local distributor. Dotatech probably parallel import it?

Z790-A D4 if you wanna keep using your RAM.
Be prepared for insane cooling. This CPU runs very hot. You should be getting good idle temps and wattage too.
*
I just watch Youtube review. 13900K run cooler than 12900K during gaming. And cooler than AMD too. I think I will get 13900K. I believe 13900K is best deal compared to I5 or I7.

A lot of ppl (incl. reviewers) still do not understand how intel cpu behaves. If u let the Cpu consume max power in the bios, then of course the results will be skewed (meaning hot and hungry).

A good summary from Igor labs:

*
That's the problem. Now got efficiency core. It's about efficiency. Not ramp up to the max.

I got 3 family member working as engineer in intel. All of them said not to OC.

A lot Intel engineer don't know about CPU. We know more about Intel CPU than engineer in Intel. They involve in small part only.

The chip are pick not all are the same in the same process. Some goes to i3 some good one goes to i9. We want to go to i20 with OC.
Intel is all about stability not power crazy

Just undervolt and overclock. There.shoild be some bandwidth

Asus got brand tax for us.

I ended up with Asus Prime Z690M-Plus D4 (USD189.99) from USA because they didn't bring it here.. And look, they decided to bring Z790M-Plus D4 at RM1119. Cool, with Asus tax again.

189.99 United States Dollar equals 896.18 Malaysian Ringgit

Ddr5 is quite cheap. RM665. I think just direct go to ddr5 if buy now

Cheap DDR5. It will perform slower than DDR4-3600 CL16. Latency is high for cheap DDR5.

Maybe upgrade when price drop in the future? I am kinda regret getting asrock z690 itx which only support ddr4. If only I waited few months until ddr5 cheaper

ASRock Taichi models no matter how good also difficult to sell in Malaysia market.

cstkl1 understandable.  cool2.gif

Z690 time worse, late 2021 COVID still around and while that time I'm not onboard yet, IIRC the MOQ was very high.

Even now we still have stocks of Z690 ATX boards around.

For Z790 (and AMD B / X boards) the MOQ different already.

I'm even thinking of conducting group-buy.
*
So will have z690 ATX sale soon?

I bought the cheapest asrock z690 itx around and it still cost me rm1000 and I don't dare to buy 12900k because there's no vrm heatsink. I think the z690 itx phantom edition will be better .
