I don't really appreciate the anand review. It's not the REVIEW they used to be like the old days. Started the review saying it's a hot hot chip and bulldozing everything else. At best it's termed a Garbage Review and not worth even reading it. Anand and Toms hardware - I don't follow their stuff for a very long time. They are NOT the CREDIBLE sites they used to be (after change of ownership) Just look at the Toms layout and the stuff there, it's garbage.
its a PREVIEW instead of REVIEW. in the intro they have mentioned they can't release the deep dive review bcoz NDA is in effect until 30th March or Intel give them green light. so take it with salt at this moment. also, True/Final Bios is not ready yet as well i believe.
Lots of temp gains to be had from delidding a 11900K, but high risk too.
Delidding is not that high of risk to do it. you just need to be patience with your force. force it with patient, not bull force. done it with my 4770k with taobao delid tools, kinda fairly simple as long as you do not overstab or exert extra force on it. and fk yeah, massive temp drop.
11900K uses soldered IHS so it's a bit risky. I guess might be due to fabrication faults? soldered IHS shouldnt have this much temp drop when replaced with liquid metal. Perhaps the 2nd revision might have much lower temps.... 10C is a very big gap lol.
fuuu. this one really next level, just went through the vid, need oven to make the whatever metal to melt. as you said, this soldered IHS shouldn't have such high temp different
Sgd prices are crazy as always i feel like i shouldve just buy in msia first before going over in a few week's time... but i dont see any 11700KF in stock anywhere... seems like it's not out yet.
really crazy for GPU pricing here. and most of it need bundle especially for nvidia. im glad i gotten mine before it even get worse now.
If i try to run cinebench or other benchmark application my cpu can hit up to 95-100C for like 5 sec then it will throttle down speed. After throttle it will steady around 70-72C max at 3.1ghz won't go higher than that. Currently score about 9.8k cinebench r23 score. Won't go higher than that.
Already tried reapplying the thermal paste and resit the stock cooler so its not about the cooler not properly fixed. Still trying to figure out whats the issue.
this. even my 4770k hit 100C insta the moment i load something. no sane person should use higher tier CPU with INTEL STOCK COOLER. get smth like 212+ if you on budget.
