Anyone know whats the issue im facing?

Proc i7 11700 stock cooler

idle temp : 46-50C
gaming 65-71C

If i try to run cinebench or other benchmark application my cpu can hit up to 95-100C for like 5 sec then it will throttle down speed. After throttle it will steady around 70-72C max at 3.1ghz won't go higher than that. Currently score about 9.8k cinebench r23 score. Won't go higher than that.

Already tried reapplying the thermal paste and resit the stock cooler so its not about the cooler not properly fixed. Still trying to figure out whats the issue.

Thanks for the feedback.

Not really trying to skimp on the cooling. I was thinking since i am not doing any overclocking and just running on its stock speed and also this is the Non K version.

Didn't know that the stock cooler unable to handle even the default boost speeds at reasonable temps.

Just worry if any issue with the processor or the motherboard in handling the voltage. So i guess its the stock cooler problem and i will look into it.

Any suggestion for air cooler?

Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B will get the job done easily.

I already upgraded to the Scythe Mugen 5 black edition. Now my temp will boost max to around 68C at max clock. Thanks all the sifu for the advise and recommendation. I think no issue with the temperature now. But im facing this issue where in HWinfo64 all core power limit exceeded is showing YES. Anyway to fix this? Using B560 steel legend.

CPU power limit exceeded is fine. Just your CPU is utilizing the extra cooling. It gives you more performance.

When i check my 11700 is running at max 4.789ghz which is about right but then current clock for most of the cinebench is roughly at 3-3.1ghz. My multi core bench mark only top to about 99XX. Is it roughly what im suppose to get? or for that proc can get roughly 11-12k? Forget to mention Cinebench r23

Compare to stock cooler, benchmark score will increase.

Don't ask me about exact score increase. Unless you pay me to own every hardware.

Increased slightly maybe by 200-300 score. But temperature definitely improve alot. Thanks smile.gif

Should + 2000 from stock cooler, 200-300 is very little for CB R23.

Check your bios to check correct power limit is set.

Ya i just checked some youtube video and they teach how to change from the Asrock bios. I change the default "Auto" to 125W....i think intel default is 65w

so now im getting roughly 13k score for cinebench r23 multi core at around 63-69C max temperature. I guess thats roughly what i should be getting.

probably we in same spec. 11700, z590 board, 16 gb ram.

while try running benchmark, change

computer properties - performance - adjust for best performance
power option  - ultimate performance

on fresh windows installed.
emmm what more.. close all other apps which running maybe..
yes, as all sifoo here suggest change power limit.. good cooler help..

just seeing this guys benchmark.. probably run on stock cooler reach 100c  sweat.gif with end result 11k only

Ya i think your result is about right depending on the power limit also.
