Some as cheap as RM2K for 11700 + B560. thx for the info 11700F will be cheaper than 11700 but it looks like it hasnt arrive yet as i dont see anyone selling the 11700F. Sadly, most shops are doing mobo+cpu combo for now...... so if wanna buy CPU alone, have to top up abit... but it looks like stock is plenty. Hopefully the Intel hate and boycott continues until you manage to get one. |

QUOTE(Bonchi @ Apr 2 2021, 01:59 AM) Id also wish to know how it perform on z490 as well haha. Altho my experience of OCing on intel is seem to be more tied to the limits of the ram itself. I can keep going on for the speed, even entering beyond 4200mhz but due to the weak trfc of my micron revB ram kit, it’s losing performance as I go faster. While kits like hynix and samsung have tighter trfc and their mileage is vastly different, like ctskl hitting 5066mhz... that’s why I’m planning to change my ram. can i know why u don like to use the onboard audio? The first thing I do on any new setup is going into the bios and disable onboard audio |

QUOTE(Bonchi @ Apr 2 2021, 09:23 AM) Bad sound quality and isolation. I use an audiophile external USB DAC instead. And that was the reason why I sold my AMD because of AMD having usb issues with it. what external usb DAC are u using now?To me, music playback quality is more important than performance |

QUOTE(Bonchi @ Apr 2 2021, 09:31 AM) QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Apr 2 2021, 09:31 AM) They have a form on their site for AM4 mounts, I presume one will come later for LGA1700. thx for the info They mailed me an AM4 kit for my NH-C14S but without tracking, 1.5 months later it never came. Asked them for another and that arrived pronto. Pos Malaysia somehow found the missing kit another month later, now I have two lol. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...post&p=99504597 https://www.tech-critter.com/klevv-bolt-xr-...r-overclocking/ Looks like DJR, unless severely downgrades later batches of the Bolt XR like how ADATA downgraded the SX8200 Pro SSD. Seems like 3733 Gear 1, unless you have a good RAM kit that can push past 4000 without loose timings, based on what I read. VRM quality to handle 8-core high power draw Board features (entry level can have as low as 5 rear USB ports, for instance) Most external DACs have better sound processing than motherboard audio, etc. |

QUOTE(kevinboey86 @ Apr 10 2021, 11:12 AM) Anyone know whats the issue im facing? i using i7 10700F with id cooling zoomflow x 360 aio coolerProc i7 11700 stock cooler idle temp : 46-50C gaming 65-71C If i try to run cinebench or other benchmark application my cpu can hit up to 95-100C for like 5 sec then it will throttle down speed. After throttle it will steady around 70-72C max at 3.1ghz won't go higher than that. Currently score about 9.8k cinebench r23 score. Won't go higher than that. Already tried reapplying the thermal paste and resit the stock cooler so its not about the cooler not properly fixed. Still trying to figure out whats the issue. idle temp : around 40-42c gaming temp: 65-72c but my proc speed is always stay at 4.6ghz no matter idel or gaming. Skylinestar liked this post

QUOTE(edmund_yung @ Apr 10 2021, 08:08 PM) He did mention idle, and that's not normal for core to load 4.6ghz at idle. I thought low clock/volt on idle is one of the advantage over AMD? can give some suggestion which of the CPU Cooler Tuning should i select??B560 motherboard is really important launch, more so than RKL. previous i was select the water cooler (pl1: 4096w) so that my processor ways maintence all core 4.6ghz This post has been edited by Vincent6596: Apr 12 2021, 12:15 AM |

QUOTE(Bonchi @ Apr 12 2021, 12:40 AM) try manually setting the PL1 instead or perhaps do a cmos reset. Else, it might be the board's bios bugged out. what do u mean manually setting the PL1 ??i had try to reset cmos also, after reset cmos my processor at least will maintence 4.2ghz while idle also. how about your bios setting since you also using msi motherboard right? QUOTE(terradrive @ Apr 12 2021, 09:15 AM) ultimate performance should run the CPU at max speed even when idling, I used it when I hated to see my cpu drops down in ghz lol QUOTE(Bonchi @ Apr 12 2021, 10:45 AM) I think it’s your power plan settings as mentioned by edmund. You need to use balanced for your cpu to drop down to 800mhz during idle to save power... or unless you want your cpu to stay at 4.6ghz all the time. thx for the info guys.. |
