Asus support for DDR5 is up to around 6400, instead of the 8000 we've been hearing about rclxub.gif

If this cinabeng reviewer is legit, the new ADL core is quite efficient if you lower the power limit.

I think this Gigabyte old BIOS thing is a non-issue gua.

Just kasi flash from USB drive haha.

Not as tricky as the AM4 AGESA situation

Also was there any comparison of iGPU performance between ADL and the 5600G/5700G?

Manade... using cheap ram issit..... first gen memang super expensive so binned dimms are ultra expensive, so everyone's running value ram so of course not stable.
*
Coz last time we changed memory to newer Corsair DDR4-3200 on Z170 board and the XMP profiles cannot jalan, just crashes.

Had to manually tweak baru stabil. sad.gif

The same kit on my current Z370 board no issue.

What's the highest speed ram that you have tried? I plan to buy ddr4-3600 on Z170 but many people said it will not work with just loading XMP profile. Even 3200 is luck. 3000 is doable.
*
DDR4-3200 was my max, needed one evening of manual trial and error.

In the end cannot reach rated spec.

Maybe premium boards less issue.

Business must be extremely good for the bigger sellers in Lowyat, FB message looking to build an Alderlake + DDR5 builds has no responses.
Meanwhile some smaller vendors I've been talking to doesn't have them in stock as you've mentioned. Oh well.

Valorant got the Vanguard anti-cheat running at lowest driver level. I suspek it doesn't play nice with E-cores atm.

i capped mine at 140fps for the gsync. or disable the ecores

They juz wanna test CPU max potential bruce.gif

Funny you mentioned this. Some reviewers didn't test Alder Lake at 720p, saying anyone who upgrades PC won't play at this resolution.

So many ppl rage at them, replying that 1080p won't show CPU full potential.

V-cache supposedly has little to no additional stepped penalty over existing L3, so probably still <50ns and assuming existing hit rates

Broadwell-S L4 was helpful to gaming not because of bandwidth, but latency. Gaming workloads are very latency sensitive, so V-cache at sub-50ns latency will be a nice boon to gaming for those with existing AM4.

However, Alder Lake has a meta-averaged gaming lead of 11.5% over Ryzen. It's unlikely the touted 5-15% L3 gain will close the gap completely.
