S22 bound?

Yes so happen I pre-ordered before the phone died. But now not very confident with S22U ler lol. Want to cancel also cannot.

I'm supposed to pass my S20U to my spouse so still need to fix it. Will lodge a report. Really unacceptable to me cause not misuse on my part and I see so many similar complaints online.

My Note 8 on the other hand still going strong hahaha.

I am curious how many users here got the s20 white / screen issue? I see fb group got many ppl reported recently including note 20 series.

To replace a screen now also no stock, RM955!

What evidence you are looking for? I've attached here with few photos of defected screen from FB (mostly S20+, got one is Note 20U).


And here is my personal experience with this S20+ LCD problem (White screen). You can see alot of this problem on Youtube.
Samsung after sales service is not friendly either.

To send for repair, I've been all these 5 authorised Samsung service centers (Setia City Mall, I-City, 1U, Sunway Pyramid, Pavilion) to just check for the LCD stock because call their line nobody pick up, and no system can check which branch got the LCD stock.

Then one of the branch told me, they had ordered since a month ago even warehouse itself also got no LCD stock for S20+.
So no choice, then I have to send it back to Sen Heng to repair since still under their extended warranty but the screen was told not original from Samsung and no more water resistant once repaired by them.

Even S22 Ultra new phone also recently reported got problem.

I am having the same screen problem with my S20U. The screen suddenly appear green and white when I am charging it. The magical part is it manage to get back to normal when I charge it after few days. When I restart the phone it gets back to the green and white screen.

What Android version you using? 12 or 11? it seem more and more people are having this issue.

promises 3/4 year software update, less than 2 year phone already start problem.

Again say same thing, always see only high end phone got screen problem, rarely hear samsung midrange and low end got screen problem

My S20+ suffered the green/white screen of death this morning. It just happened suddenly with no symptoms like flickering or green lines on the screen. My phone is just a few days away before its 2nd anniversary.

Side note: the back panel also came off weeks before the screen gone dead. I never dropped my phone, submerged in water or overheat it.

I'm just going to get a new phone instead of trying to fix it. I'm looking into getting an S22+ but I'm hesitant since the S22 Ultra also having display issues right now.

You can try lodge a report at service centre to escalate and see if they offer waiver or discount.

I read that the issue with S22U is specific to Exynos variant though. Praying hard that S22U will be better than S20U.

Horrible quality and QC... and seems to affect quite a few models.

Just get 22+.

I can vouch from my 365 days old snapdragon 20 ultra. Haha.

So many similar cases yet they say it's our problem. 😅

not sure, still in a state of disbelief that my phone display dead.

This is how they make extra money by giving us a low lifespan display.
