There is no real need for a new mobo. The current AM2 mobo will fully support the Star processors, minus new features such as split power lanes

This phenom got how many version actually??only diff clockspeed??or got diff in cache??maybe just like c2d which got variety version from diff cache, to diff clockspeed...??

The amount of cores and clockspeed. Each cores have 512kb L2 cache. 2mb shared L3 cache.

i love the new logo, they change to new white arrow instead of the old green arrow XD, well, i'm not not a heavy gamer, if gt X2 version maybe i will choose X2 version of phenom

It would be better if the 64 is not even there. The 64 bit hype is long gone already.

Power management might have a hit.

Per-core power settings might not be enabled, but for sure no split power planes (IMC yeah, but for the cores?) and HTT 3.


Just get RD790/780. It's the X38/P35 of AMD, and it still runs freaking cool (judging by the reference design)
