There is no real need for a new mobo. The current AM2 mobo will fully support the Star processors, minus new features such as split power lanes

hopefully the split power thingy n HT 3.0 not hold/limit much the current mobo.. just can buy new proc.. great..

The amount of cores and clockspeed. Each cores have 512kb L2 cache. 2mb shared L3 cache.

got 3 versions..phenom X2, phenom X4 & phenom FX, they all support socket AM2..yeah,i can upgrade

i love the new logo, they change to new white arrow instead of the old green arrow XD, well, i'm not not a heavy gamer, if gt X2 version maybe i will choose X2 version of phenom

Power management might have a hit.

Per-core power settings might not be enabled, but for sure no split power planes (IMC yeah, but for the cores?) and HTT 3.


Just get RD790/780. It's the X38/P35 of AMD, and it still runs freaking cool (judging by the reference design)
