Just typed out something quite long in the MYM page might as well post it here for all to read :
As S1rro said , the seedings are discussed and done based on past Pride performances. Although the seedings may not reflect their current skill level and sharpness its still considered "fine" in my opinion. All 8 seeded teams reached the last 16 playoffs at Pride 6 of which 6 of them reached the Last 8. The remaining 2 won all their prior group stage matches which is no short of an amazing feat. Some members of the community may think that we made a mistake , but I honestly think that even there is a mistake , the mistake is not significant based on the reasoning I gave above. A glaring missing from the list of seeded teams are the USA teams. In my opinion , America Dota has lost its last "legendary" clan following x6's disband. The new "top 3" of Hi2u , Emg and Excello have not proven themselves worthy of a seed this time around. Last Pride , Hi2u ff all games despite being seeded , Emg (formerlly known as Verge) went missing after losing to ROFL and Excello (formerly known as Ene) was not given the chance to fully exert their skills and talents due to a series of unfortunate events that happened last time around. With good players being added into their rosters , on paper , they will not have a problem in stamping their authority on the scene. But they will have to work their way up from the America qualifiers. World Eaters and Team Q not getting the seed may turn out to be a collective mistake from our part , but with the talent they have in their team , getting through the West Europe and Africa qualifiers may not be problem. With 4 East Europe teams getting the top 8 seed , it will be interesting to see which new teams from that part of the world will show off their skills this time around. A good candidate to watch out for is Hard Team which recently finished second at the ASUS Cup Dota Tournament behind Virtus.Pro and ahead of sP[Palit]. The "no name" as quoted by Yoda I assume will be referring to Cybertime ROA the recent first runner up of Asian WCG Dota. Their spectacular run last Pride was a combination of extreme sacrifice (starting games at 2 am for 50% of the time) , skill (beating SK in a group stage match) and luck (managed to get a host that does not lag more than 1 second most of the time). Seeding them is the best recognition for their efforts last time around. Inspired by their success , a host of top names from Asia are joining this time around. I counted 5 country representatives of ACG registering. Xcn (Indonesia) , TKS (Australia) , StarsVD(Vietnam) , MCC (New Zealand) and Mizencrononith (Singapore , mix team of Zenith and Micronology). There is also Papi , the team that effectively disbanded HIRA the Pride 4 champions and their first local rival Mineski from Philippines gracing the Asian Qualifiers. Cybertime-ROA's fierce local rivals in Malaysia are also in the party. Sadistic Kaiser , mKvL and ROA's sister clan Cybertime-O are also in the fray. The victor of matches between this 4 teams are mostly decided by a few mistakes. It goes without saying all Asian teams will hope to emulate Cybertime's success at last Pride this time around. All this make up for an interesting Asian Qualfiers. Hm , an explanation of the seedings becomes a preview of the qualifiers lol. Well anyway , good luck to all teams participating and thank you all for your participation. I am looking forward to work with you all to take Competitive Dota to the next level. |

I have a qn...do malaysian teams use teamspeak in mym matches? AFAIK, top euro teams do that, hence their excellent teamwork.
I know this is less common in LAN style tourney, but teamspeak provides a distinct advantage in communication (w/o need for shouting). |

My team also stop in the qualifier due to a "-roll 1999"
We against Uzbekistan, we wasted 4 hours to find a host for them , they felt lag and unplayable , and at the end , we giv up and juz type -roll 1999 in dota 648 map , they get the bigger number , so decided they win of the game ... This post has been edited by MBJB-ayee: Sep 5 2007, 08:13 PM |

Cybertime-G lost to the Australian champ and with their ad-hoc roster. So no shame in that.
Cybertime-O's FF was regretable. If only Netz can get their game finished faster...... Perhaps we should just DQ teams who do not play on time next time. But if we do , W4si and Xcn will be out this time around. Its really a hard decision to make for all but guess that is it. MBJB members tried to contact me to settle their dispute against the Uzbek team. I truely apologise for my no show as I was busy doing some RL stuffs at that very moment and cant get on a PC. All I can say is , your opponent is an e-thug who wants to win by having the advantage of host. They tried to play the same game with MiZen team at their last game despite knowing that Sg host is the best host they can get playing in the Asian bracket. After around 3 hours of talking , the Uzbeks settled for a laggier host in New Zealand than an Sg one and got thrashed in 32 mins. Although the winning team is non of your concern but hope that will provide some sort of consolation for you guys. In future , try play more GGC and make friends with good hosts , especialy the Sg ones for your hosting needs in online tourneys. That is the easiest way to avoid such confrontations. |

I think they kinda stupid, I saw them asking in GGC European Public game channel. Asking for host, two Asia country playing with a European host is just plain stupid. They asked me whether I can help and I already told them Malaysia can't play with European host as I tried with RoA and they kept on looking for European host, damn retarded. Now I realize this is their strats, lol, high hand. =P

HT consists of ukraine national team players that defeated Russia in the winner bracket during MYM Nations,
no worries, if RoA win all their remaining matches then they still can make it out of their group, just pray to GoD that lagness dun screw them up in the remaining games.... This post has been edited by synzo: Sep 13 2007, 03:57 PM |

QUOTE(Flizzardo @ Sep 13 2007, 05:13 PM) FF won HT becuz of friggin lags and delays. watch the replay and you will know. however, FF teamwork can be considered top notch. same ranking as other pro teams in terms of teamwork, farming and skill..Luck also play a major factor. HT's ogre magi multicast comes out during critical moment. pudge hook was quite well executed too. The funniest moment (or perhaps the most unfortunate event) is when gin's sven gs and potm invi. before even hittin opponent, he eat all spell until die d. lol. for me, he shoulda buy bkb first instead of blink... anyway best of luck to all msia teams... kingsurf vs WE replay is good. go get it. |

sometimes, by just watching replies for replays and even in the game itself, you can witness insults, excuses and intimidation... really hope they will solve this problem... probably there should be some massive international dota LAN tournament like for every half year. then get some big companies to sponsor or invite big names in dota world to compete (pay for their flights). that way, no more excuses for lags, delays, hosts and such...

W4S| is out. They lose to dG. The brightest chance for Malaysian team is KS with 2:1 (win:lose), if they win their last match, they'll proceed to the next round with XSK.

The only Malaysian team left in this tournament is Kingsurf now. We will work on the brackets of last 16 after the tiebreaker matches are done.
Good luck to Kingsurf. |

too bad guys. ks lost to eMg. u can dl the replay here.
if anyone watched the ks vs sp replay...u must hv notice that there's a retarded observer name metro who seems to hv issues with asian teams. if not mistaken, metro is from team eMg. it's too bad ks couldn't kick his ass! This post has been edited by mad-d0g: Sep 27 2007, 02:52 PM |

arghhh sad to see mym lose...honestly i damn hate vp since they usually never admit lose when the time their losing game just like they lose to mizen in grouping match...end of the game they even said "f**k u"..really no manners..i never respect vp although they win mym prime back to back 6 and 7..and i really think if got LAN party, i bet zenith (tofu, ant, musica, ice, gps) > vp because the game will no lag and delay..

nah, do not determine one team bcoz of one of their no-manner player, VP leader's vigoss is a very polite and good person, and no matter what it is truth that they are better than zenith, imba russian

its true. do not underestimate asian teams. KS team had a really good tournament.
The way they played againts SP left everyone mesmerized. VP is good, but we should not make judgments until they have played under 0 lag circumstances. |
