my oppinion is that we can change the oil in longer intervals. the 5K and 10K oil change is made up my mechanics and not the manufacturer. check for the manufacturer's guarantee...synthethic oils are guaranteed up to 40K km.

further more the 5k and 10k theory has been around since donno when ...and technology had improved so much over the years.
