iTunes can be used to organise all your songs. Stick with it.

If you post this over at the "Audiophiles" section here at LYN you will undoubtedly get a completely different response from the two above. On that subforum; you've got a whole bunch of people who for some strange reason feel that having a couple of hundred bucks worth of computer soundcard; combined with a few more hundred bucks worth of computer speakers; buys them entry into the "audiophile" ranks. They will therefore insist on "loss-less" audio formats. Methinks its all crap. On your MacBook on the Klipsch; iTunes will handle your ripping duties very well. A hilarious read (It's a review of the H-K SoundSticks II) which parodies the audiophile review may be found here: http://www.atpm.com/10.04/soundsticks.shtml

Itunes is good enough for me.
Loss-less is not that bad. I can hear the difference between a loss-less encoded song file and a 192 kpbs encoded mp3 file on my studio monitors as well on my kelisa default car speaker. But in the end it is up to the listener. I know someone who encoded all his CDs into 96kps MP3 and don't even realize how horrible it sounds.

thanks for your opinions! i'm pretty happy wif iTunes as my songs manager... but i could still use a 3rd party apps to rip my CD and organize it wif iTunes. there are many ppl doing this but of course very "leceh" and time consuming Added on August 25, 2007, 9:58 amQUOTE(Timber @ Aug 25 2007, 09:51 AM) Itunes is good enough for me.
