Mavuika like all Archons confirm to rerun.
Citlali on the other hand may be stuck in rerun hell like Wriothesley and other Cryo characters.
Kesian until now no rerun.
You should definitely get Citlali now if you like her character.

The new banner type rumours are currently being spread for ZZZ, Genshin and HSR. No real confirmation yet.
Basically is new characters will run for whole patch, while rerun character banners will come in at second half only.

I do hope Chevreuse is on Mavuika banner since I still don't have Chevy after so long. New Lanyan character can just get from Lantern Rite Liyue 4-star selector.


Numbers top right of portraits are how many times they have appeared in banners.

Still kind of bummed Hoyo is heavily pushing for Mavuika to be Pyro on-fielder DPS and gimping her off-field pyro applications.
Many were expecting a Xiangling upgrade since past Archons all have great off-field support abilities.

Now I am considering pulling Arle or Mavuika only since no point having so many Pyro on-field DPS.
Arle also running in same patch so I expect Arle and Mavuika banners to cannibalise each other.
Would be interesting to see Hoyo plans with Mavuika, to powercreep Arle or not to maximise sales.

Already got Neuv C1 from past two banners.
Zhongli is great comfort, but I'm already used to playing so long without shields so not needed.

I'm targeting either Mavuika or Arlecchino for new Pyro hypercarry, depending on how Mavuika kit ends up.
Currently other Natlan characters (especially Xilonen) is mandatory to fully use Mavuika.
Archons also confirm will rerun anyway so no harm skipping if you prefer to wait for public reviews.

Qucusaurus gave me a hard time until I realised I had Kokomi which makes easy work of its shield and turrets.
Furina also works great but I throw her into 2nd half with HuTao.

Geo wolf is a big time waster if you not using geo (I bring Xilo also barely enough)
You can brute force with lots of elemental attacks (Catalyst users, Ayaka, etc)

Hate the new Natlan flower boss though.
Need loads of elemental attacks if you didn't pull Natlan characters much (I only pulled Xilo and plan for Mavuika).
Good thing Shinobu ult melts the shield very fast.

5.3 Banner Details
Both banner details released early to give time for miHoYo staff cuti CNY.

Phase 1





Phase 2

Phase 1 4-stars so bad (unless you like to have one pull refunds).
Phase 2 so much nicer in comparison, got new character and Chevy.

I don't have Arle, Clorinde or even Chevy. Tempted to pull.
Arle would have been default choice but then I would end up with Hu Tao, Mavuika, Arle. All on-field Pyro DPS.
I wonder if Clorinde is good to play on higher ping since she can't maximise her combos.
Also Chronicled Banner and long awaited Shenhe (tempted to pull for my Ayaka but Cryo such a bad state now).
After this Shenhe might as well be forever locked away.
My savings only got two characters max without swiping.

Is Citlali very good? Only got savings for one more 5-star.
Already lost 50/50 until soft pity for Mavuika C0.
Otherwise I'm just going to save for future characters or reruns for broken cons.

Feel the same. It can be easy for some to just ignore top level rewards thinking it's just 1-2 pulls worth.
But the harshest part is seeing the characters you spent so long investing in becoming irrelevant and no longer being able to clear end game content comfortably.
Vertical investment also feels not worth it since you might as well pull the shiny new character who does better at low investment.
I abandoned my plans for C2 Raiden already. She now my hyperbloom trigger lol.

I thought Fontaine would be the region to screw players over with forced gimmicks in bosses but the Ousia Pneuma thing ended up not mattering much (which is great for older characters).
Natlan on the other hand, I especially hate their gimmicky bosses, especially the flower.
Basically Hoyo strongly pushing players to pull or be left out.
HSR already players getting unhappy with how fast characters are being powercrept.
Sparkle being powercrept after just one rerun was especially painful for me.

Natlan is Hoyo's attempt to force more gimmicks to heavily encourage pulling for new characters who can overcome said gimmick.
Nightsoul mechanics with bosses taking more damage from Nightsoul-aligned damaged is especially annoying.
I love my older characters and it sucks having to 'play the meta' by benching them.
