That's not the only case GE have. I heard GE also have other cases. That is one of the reason I avoid GE totally.

QUOTE(contestchris @ Jul 21 2024, 01:21 AM) Not true. The cooayments are needed due to idiots who abuse insurance. I know people who have gone and admitted to do preventive tests that cost around rm2k to rm3k when their close family member has a heart disease. By right can't but agent and Dr kamching so jalan. But if these jokers have to pay a deductible of say rm500, they will think twice to abuse unnecessarily. Also buy having skin in the game, customers will ensure hospitals charge only for incurred expenses. Some hospital bills include charges for services that were never rendered. Also deductible and copaymwnts save significant expenses. Just check out the RHB or HLB plans, those with deductible have significant cost savings. So the savings are passed back to customers, not retained by insurers. QUOTE(GambitFire @ Jul 21 2024, 01:51 AM) If I’m not mistaken hospitals will still charge u their exorbitant fees regardless if you are on co payment terms or not. That’s between the patient and the insurance provider, nothing to do with the hospital…if patients complain a lot they might be a risk of transfer to gov hospital and I’ve seen cases like that happen before.. hospital don’t care it’s take it or leave it to them..if u can’t pay they will not admit you. Whether there is co insurance or not insurance companies will sure ack up the price crazily.... Next time only t20 and higher tier M40 can afford.. Private hospitals and insurance companies will never stop to be greedy.Secondly, most Malaysians are already very “anti insurance” in a way especially the b40 group, now with this mandatory co payment it will hinder more ppl from signing up for a plan. I have to pay ludicrous premiums and same time if admitted need to pay another 5%? Might as well take their chance with gov hospital plus majority of Malaysians don’t even have proper savings and majority struggling to even settle their premiums. I just see it as insurance companies taking this opportunity to jack up their already high premiums even higher. When I first started paying it was only RM110 now I’m paying RM410..quite ludicrous if u ask me. I do not see any benefit from introducing this mandatory co payment policy rather it’s just to protect insurance companies Most of the time is doctors 'advise' to take up unnecessary treatment, surgery and tests when they know u have insurance. Just like my colleague recently admitted to icu due to minor infection and doctor give 1 month mc.. He dischsrged two days after that and said he is totally fine and doctor still keep prescribe different expensive medications. Government should step in to regulate the price charged by hospitals and insurance companies. |

QUOTE(mikhailcbh @ Jul 26 2024, 07:53 AM) Dear Sifus, Last time my agent told me if cant afford right now just dont accept the increment and maintain the current premium 1st. Only need to pay attention to sustainability period. Ur policy wont expire immediately and there will be forever repricing in future.. Use ur money wisely invest elsewhere to get better return. Ur income will always increase and may afford in future.. U can always revise and make lump sum top up later when u can afford..Guess I am another "victim" to another insurance premium increase. I bought my son an ILP insurance from Allianz upon his birth in Nov 2019. Premium then was RM 206, now increase to RM 329. Policy is Medisafe Infinite+ Plan 150. Sum insured is RM 10k, 72 critical illness circa RM 85k, there is this pay or cover rider too, where i can stop premium if (touch wood) kena one of the critical illness. My question is: Is there any alternate option I have to maintain the current RM 206 premium? Just want to gain some upperhand while pending my agent's reply. Thank you very much Since it is for ur son, usually he will buy his own policy later and by that time there will be newer or better policy to replace the current one. So i just follow what my agent said... |

QUOTE(MUM @ Sep 6 2024, 08:57 AM) Yes, I support his action to appeal again. What is the relationship btw income vs insurance? Dont get the point..The insurer die in an accident . Not sure if there is any evident to show that that accident was caused by his undisclosed health information. If he die of sickness due to that preexisting undisclosed health information, then clear cut My assumption of accident could be hit by a drunk driver or accident caused by other party But, nullify a policy due to wrong stated income and forged signature, ...that is too much. Recently all my insurances increase price.. Some give u option to maintain current price, some either force u to accept price increase or downgrade plan.. Any difference?

QUOTE(MUM @ Mar 28 2025, 12:56 PM) My guess, ... I rather maintain price and top up later if it allows..why suffers now and downgrade lifestyle bcoz of paying more for insurance. Life is short.. Dont need to cover until 99yoIf maintain current price, .... the coverage years will be shortened. If pay the new price, every thing will remains until further notice. If downgrade, the benefits of the initial plan will be less or shortened. |
