Wall Street investors pandai-pandai wanna short Gamestop to earn millions. Ppl found out and buy more Gamestop shares, causing the price to rise. Ended up investors losing billions, bankrupting them instead.

Essentially, the people gave two middle fingers to the investors. Well done.

All the bigshot don`t have the share to sell. the bigshot need to buy the share as they only borrowed the share and need to return it. That s what they call shorting the share.

Normally you should be able to buy back from the market even if it means you will lose a lot of money. Unless that's really out of your control such as stock get delisted or suspended indefinitely.

And if someone becomes bankrupt due to unable to buy back the shares, then the lender of the shares will also kena because they can only liquidate the short seller assets to get back whatever they can according to laws, might end up losing money as well.

That's why the lenders for short selling also have risks.

no bankrupt yet la.. as long the margin tank is still able to tank before liquidation price.

Bubble is getting bigger and bigger jer once u tank.
