Depends on what car. My 2008 Mark X already around 150-160k km are still using original coils. However on my previous crappy Livina, I needed to replace them TWICE within just 80k km! First time was just around 50k km, just a shitty car!As for effect on ECU, no damage whatsoever if your COP goes bad.

Huh, which Swift you have? The ZC21 or ZC31? My ZC31 still running fine but not sure if previous owner had replaced it before or not, looks like still original.
