A good, professional performance and boy do we miss those. Within 3 games we've looked more structured upfront and at the back, so that's a testament to tuchel's ability as a coach, I don't think you can put it any other way. 3 cleansheets in a row, although we were lucky not to concede vs spurs with aurier and vinicius missing basically open headers.
Let's just hope christensen steps up while thiago recovers. What I love about the performance was it's not like we scored a fluke goal and held on for 80 minutes, but we looked good going forward and definitely could've added to the score line. Spurs increased their intensity in the second half, but we broke on them and outnumbered their defenders on a couple of occasions. Just needed to find that cutting edge to get a second goal.
It's amazing how with a couple of adjustments to our movement and shape, suddenly jorginho (jorginho haters, you ok?

) and kovacic are looking class again. A change of technique for the former's penalty which took balls, literally, and paid off. Alonso has also found a new lease of life at LWB, although he looked a bit suspect towards the end of the match. Christensen had a pretty solid 'emergency return' to the team as well, and he can be happy with his extended cameo.
This is the kind of win that galvanises even the fringe players, and convinces them that the coach is indeed capable of leading us forward. Finally a victory against a top team, since forever! On to the next one
