Personally am really excited about Tuchel, and what he can bring to Chelsea.
However I feel a sense of guilt for being so and almost feel like I’m betraying Frank Lampard.
Looking forward for game vs wolves tonite
I don't think his legacy status as a player is tainted even one bit here at chelsea, and I'm convinced everyone who watched his best years with us were dying to see him succeed.
Unfortunately his appointment last season was a marriage of convenience with the transfer ban and all, so you have to say roman went with his heart a little here instead of his head. If not for everyone else being so inconsistent and affected by the pandemic, I think we'd be waayyyy further down the table. Frank will be back but I'm not sure how long he'll have to slog in other teams / leagues, because it does seem he severely lacks the tactical knowledge to turn games around.
The introduction of that defensive coach and the impact he had on our setpieces just tells you all you need to know. The thought of us bringing in someone to help on the attacking / tactical side of our game would've been interesting, but on the flip side it'll expose frank's inability as a coach even further. Pretty sure he'll object to such an appointment as well, so there was only one way this was gonna go.
Now I'm worried that even top four is out of our reach, but I'm optimistic tuchel can pull it off. Hopefully we start turning it around vs wolves. It's a new lease of life for some of our players like rudi, CHO, jorginho, etc, and could really propel us forward.
