bought bebird k10, but i don't feel comfortable to do it myself for the one near the eardrum
used cerumol, makes it worse. i sleep on my sides, got popping sound when i wakes up from sleep
bought ear spray solution from pharmacy, doesn't work either

so went to new sound hearing damansara jaya near atria there, manyak syok
rm250 damage

This is the result of cleaning earwax using cotton bud my whole life

Cotton bud might make it worse since it will push the earwax inside


My ear wax has always been soft and dark colored like that

For me, i dont feel any difference in hearing capability. But it certainly stops the itchy and discomfort feeling I’ve been having in my ears. Depending on your dad’s age, it might just be the side effect of turning older. But no harm in going. The place i mentioned is also specialist for hearing aids.


I stopped using cotton buds a few years ago. Tried hydrogen peroxide, ear spray, cerumol, xiaomi bebird, my pinky finger but damage is already done, earwax already collected near eardrum

Place i went doesnt use suction. They used some kind of long and thin tool to scrape and pick the ear wax. Then put a small amount of cotton on the tool, put a few drops of cerumol on it and swab the canal. Then he works on the other ear. After done, he goes back to the previous ear and sprays it with water. Finally he used a tool that looks like dandelion maybe to dry and clean it up

No infection
OP’s earwax is hard/dry type that’s why it looks flakey
Mine is soft/wet type
