QUOTE(Stirmling @ Jan 21 2021, 05:42 PM) You mean normal middle click? Then yeah. Use a lot for panning in autoCAD, animation software, 3d model software etc. The MX2S doesn't have a middle click? Don't listen to Xaphier. The scroll wheel in the middle can act as middle click. You can also assign the scroll wheel button to work differently using the Logitech Options software. MX Master 3 has different side button configuration compared to the 2S. If your thumb is big, you might accidentally click the side buttons on the 2S as they are on top of each other.
I use the side buttons for Window's File Explorer to navigate around folders.
I suggest you to try out both 3 and 2S physically in-store, if possible, to check your needs.
For me I'll go with 3 for its USB-C support. Don't need to fiddle around with 2S' micro-USB cable when I want to charge my mouse.
The new tech scrolling wheel is not 3 exclusive. Both 2S and 3 has hyper fast scrolling.
