I applied for RHB Housing loan. When I went to sign the letter of offer, the banker tells me she had applied for TWO RHB credit cards for me!
Mind you, till that point, I HAD NOT signed any paper. I never said yes, nor did I even know about, the RHB Credit Card.
She asked me to sign a form for the credit card application. I said "NO!". I know my rights. I didn't sign it.
Yet 2 weeks later, I get two credit cards mailed to me! Like what the freaking hell.
I work in a financial institution...but this is just so scummy. With MCO all, it is so hard to reach their customer service. Why do I need to go through hoops to cancel the cards?
Want to make a report to Bank Negara also I got like no semangat. I call BNM so many times can't get through.
These people are just so scummy. I am well informed, know my rights, and still kena like this. Pity people who don't know and simply sign and agree here there.
So much effort to remove something I never signed up for!

QUOTE(ifourtos @ Jan 14 2021, 01:51 PM) .... some newbie freak out of shit..... you dont activate lah.... as simple as that. Of course I didn't activate lah. But someone says can still have annual charges etc if don't activate. So I want to cancel terus. I don't want this on my credit record. QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jan 14 2021, 01:52 PM) Don't question/challenge TS as he works in financial institution. Where I work doesn't change that this is so fucking underhanded and scummy. How can someone apply for credit card without my approval or signature, some more with my explicit request TO NOT sign up for it? And if it is that easy to sign up, why so difficult to cancel???? QUOTE(victorian @ Jan 14 2021, 02:03 PM) You sure you didn't sign any documents that explicitly says the company will apply a complementary credit card? Anyway that's the industry norm, you can either move on or report to BNM. Your choice 100% not. Like I said first she applied already then ask me sign. I obviously refused. Bank Negara should really come out against this practice. I mean if they force or bundle also okay. Cause you still need to sign off. In this case I didn’t sign off and explicitly said no, yet here we are. It’s criminal lah
