QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Jan 12 2021, 09:17 AM) Have been playing Anno 1800 a lot and i realised that it uses up to 14GB ~15GB RAM right now. Should I upgrade to 32GB? And yes my PC can support more than 64GB RAM. PC already run on NVMe ?

QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ Jan 12 2021, 09:43 AM) Well, even if it uses close to the max, is the game running fine? Coz I thought games tend to use up to the max available that they can use. Means, the more background processes that stay on RAM, the game will use less and less. So, if the game is running fine, imho you don't really need to upgrade (yet) Its typical OS to manage the ram and populate most of it. If you have 4GB, then about 1GB be idle, if 16GB most of it be used as well.

QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ Jan 12 2021, 12:25 PM) This...!!! So really, your benchmark should be how well the game is running, not how much RAM, or CPU usage... Chasing bottlenecks when the game is already running at (for example) 126 fps is not really worth it. You declogg one, it will just shift to another, and so on and so forth. If can reach 50-60 fps is good enough.
