Basically this is exact the salary range at JB, Penang area for most salaried employers..

My first job after uni is in KL , that time I earned 3k as engineer, not sure on higher level salary at KL as I left KL later. based on LYN members post KL working salary looks much much higher, like senior exe can EASILY get 5 figures once you have 3-5 years experience. Not saying impossible, indeed some are really good who can earn this but not majority average can. (Like me an average guy)

I did have some friends working at KL, and what I heard is KL salary for junior, senior exe, manager are only around 5-10% higher, mostly 30% higher(rare case, if you have connection to the boss) than JB, Penang. Not 90% KL employee earning 5 figures salary

Not butthurt, just my opinion working as salaried employee is relatively easy and stable job, compared to doing own business or commission based job, so how high salary you can expect? Unless you are irreplaceable and have special skills.
