People belive that gaming chair is good
Reality is ergonomic office chair are better for gaming or long hrs office work

Just want to create some awareness as see so many people still buying gaming chair and expect it to work miracle

majority people here still have very little understanding and awareness on ergonomic chair.
common understanding is ergonomic chair is expensive.

many people buy gaming chair because the word "gaming" only.
some gaming chair seller even boldly label their inferior gaming chair that with little to no adjustment as ergonomic chair, which is totally bull and misleading ...

but cant blame the buyer too, since currently these so called gaming chair sold at a relatively cheap price, as low as rm2XX to RM3XX.
if just purely purchase base on price, confirm majority will go for gaming chair, without knowing they just purchase something that is not suitable for long hours.
rip wallet for those that purchase expansive gaming chair ...

on the other hand we have actual ergonomic chair selling at a starting price around RM 1k - 1.5k, which i believe not everyone willing to spend that much for a chair,.
at least NOT for those that do not fully understood the benefit of an ergonomic chair, and we haven't even mention those rm4k - 6k ergonomic chair...

Not sure why you would want to spend more than that on a chair at home when most likely the one in your car or office is no where near as good.

Bought ergonomic office chair from AM Office last few weeks ago. Damn, the lumbar back support really gooding and the chair so plush and comfy albeit pricey for its price even after discounted but money well spent indeed.

Yep for people work at home for long hours definitely need ergonomic chair for back support

used to use a gaming chair

then bought a proper chair from Apex, its like day and night

on my old gaming chair sit for 2 hours already feel uncomfortable have to change position

with the chair from Apex i sat for 4-5 hours still feel comfortable

Fancy bright colour chair = +10 accuracy, +20 reaction speed

Frankly i dont understand y it's so expensive
it's just fabric and mesh and lotsa plastic

as an ex owner of Markus:
1. the lumbar support isnt adjustable, so it's not one size fits all
2. headrest is too tall for certain people, and it's tilted at an odd angle
3. the arm rest is fixed, too wide and too low for certain application, also the way it's assembled doesnt allow you to sit cross legged, if you fancy that kind of posture
4. seat cushion depth isnt adjustable so those who're short wont feel comfortable wtihout a footrest
5. the backrest frame is stiff, it doesnt allow much micromovement on the shoulder blade

other than that it's actually quite comfortable to sit in

For me AM CP is not that high, but still office chair is better than any gaming chair any given time

that I concur, the weight activated reclining feature isnt available in most gaming chair, plus the chair doesn't hug you in place preventing you from moving around(you're encouraged to have micromovements while sitting down
no idea why the need to hold the shoulder in place, how often will you be flung away from your desk when you're working?

not sure the quality.. waiting to test

My min requirements:
Must be full mesh
Adjustable armrest
Seperate pcs back support

Compromised on:
seat length adjust (as I don't need)
plastic back structures (less durable)
Armrest not adjust to reclining degree (I don't need as won't sleep on chair)


Actually head rest is not that important for work
Herman Miller also dont have it

My steel case leap chair is very comfy. No regrets.

bucket seat was originally meant for sports cars to hold the driver firmly in place . then some marketing genius decided to adapt the design of the seat for home use.

lo and behold, an entire generation of numbskulls fell for it. dumb mofos, do you experience 1 G of gforce while gaming at home?

My wagner alumedic 10 looks like some rm300 office chair but it costed 4k plus.

The difference is that I sitting in that chair for 12-16 hours a day in front of pc during mco never feel discomfort.

What is the name of this chair. I too am looking for an ergo chair for home use. Please do share your experience with the chair.

unker sit wooden chair only, after sit long hour sure back pain, so unker make it a habit will walk around the house to clean or enjoy the scenery from my balcony every hour so not so back pain

So.. ada duit ada ergonomy?
