Bitdefender is very nice AntiVirus. Low computer resources and effective.
Not promoting, but this is one of the best antivirus even i use nod32.

No real-time virus scanner?

yeah, its dangerous for "always-on" internet connection like me

tried it before. no real-time protection for free version. just on-demand scanning.
