Then nothing. You can continue copying him or withdraw your money. Etoro is legit.
Warren buffet have been known to not beat the index for the past few years.

How does it work. If you are good with your picks you can get paid for doing what you do best.
Keep in mind when you copied someone that someone get paid. Now you need to see if he consistently make money. Could be a one shot thing.

There are plenty of people on etoro. If you don't want to copy him, can copy others.

Antoine second Acc here.

Yes for the past 24 months he's been profitable ... and thinking of diversyfying to copy someone with a long term port , I'll have to think this through

Second this, but please be noted that Etoro is not being regulated by Malaysian authorities,
the nearest office is in Sydney.

Can you stomach this? -53% in 2018

If you can't, then stop. If you can, then by all means continue copying the trader.

Etoro is legit, but they are not recognized by BNM.

haha I've been through my fair share of pain in KLSE

My portfolio dropped like a rock during the crash in March

I was nearly in tear and I just liquidated a big portion of my KLSE portfolio as I'm forseeing a crash coming

And you will repeat it again in when the next crash come. Mark my words. Why. Cause it not about being the best stock picker. Is whether you have guts. If you cannot stand the volatility of the market (market drawdown/crash) you are not ready for stock investing. Stay with FD. A good night sleep is better than anything.

Yes that is really true. Through my 18 months of investing, there was only 2 days that really got to me March 2020 and yesterday as I was adamant to not make the mistake I did in 2020. I was quite keen to TP ( even though I was educated not to ) back then, but I thought meh doesn't matter doesn't it. It's just another pandemic it'll pass. My portfolio recovered somewhat but lately as the pandemic got worse I have to remind myself of 2020 ... hence I made the painful decision. I have quite a bit in FD hence I wouldn't want to add anymore in. Since 2% is quite awful.

Even with my losses my returns in the past 18 months was about 3% ( 4.5% including Div ) hence I'm more willing to take the risk.

The other days I'm quite fine with the market

Because of the good rally now also.. will not be always like this bro...

Yep that's why I checked his performance from 2014 - 2021 , he have 2 years of losses and average 80% gain over 6 years hence I went in. He have a big position in BTC which really spiked his returns now. And also ETH

Wholly agreed as he has not possess EQ and too sensitive to market movements with very very risk sensitivity index on alert

Wait till he trades FX and Crypto then will feel the pain even faster  rclxms.gif

I'm have a position in Binance / Bittrex with some ALT coins. So far they're doing decently. Insane fluctuations but it's norm now for me

ADA and Vechain seems to be performing

A prolong red market will test everyone. That's why a lot gave up in 2008. Everyday your money drop by 1-2% if put it into he market.
Let's see. He went and copy some trader on etoeo who have crypto.

Yes it was painful but I did make 2 -3 green days ... was optimistic in Dec , like really optimistic.

Then Jan happened and I felt m assets are not performing ... and the poteintial gains is really tangible hence I reallocated my assets

The problem he has just like those who got burn easily because he has not posses the fundamentals on volatility which a slight drop is nothing to most of us as we has a better foresight, patience and outlook to seek, find and put the right calls at the right time

Still got a long way to go for me even though the past 2 months when the market corrected i made the right calls and still gain on my positions  icon_rolleyes.gif

I might've been a little short sighted but I believe stronger in the American markets. After considering

1. US currency is cheap now. 2. Making use of the Crypto run.

I still hold some local stocks that I still have faith in. Dufu , Axiata , TopGlove some REITs that I believe will recover eventually.

But for some companies that I feel my assets can be better reallocated I've shifted them overseas. Will updated if it goes well.

I used to have the mindset of buying a stock and never selling much like what Buffet says, however some mental versatility should be practiced in these uncertain markets and I believe many can make better returns due to the volatility/uncertainty. I still believe in long term investing but not with a diehard zeal.
