Recently, for a project i'm undergoing, i need to find out the number of pixels whereby the image is black. The purpose of knowing this is so that i can make a comparison between 2 selected objects within the same image. Both of these objects will be black in colour. By being able to determine the number of black pixels for both these objects respectively, i will be able to determine the area.

Is there anyone who's an expert at this? I've tried googling for a satisfactory answer but all i can get is that the histogram tool can be used in Paint Shop Pro. Perhaps anyone can shed some light? icon_question.gif

EDIT: oh dear, i'm in the wrong section. Mods pls throw me into the arts and design section notworthy.gif
