Hey guys just want to share.. yesterday i go to Asus service center at lv4 lowyat to send my laptop for repair warranty
the problem is just hardware. but the cs guy said need to backup data as the format is "compulsory" here at asus.

i mean like. its the hardware, nothing to do with data but why need to touch the data inside? its come with two drive.
are they gonna format the whole drive too? just curious. im no computer expert but confused.gif confused.gif laugh.gif

maybe this is new asus policy idk

Maybe that is standard procedure to inform customer to backup data just in case data loss. They don't want later customer to blame the service center if data loss.

Yes its common issue, happened for every laptop every brand as well.

Either u keep spray WD-40 or buy the laptop fans as backup in future you replace yourself.

Asus gaming laptop sucks, thermal issue and also common faulty fan noise issue.
My previous ROG laptop noise frequently overdrive to max even when idle. The noise is so loud it can even be heard in the next room. My Lenovo Legion even at max fan speed is like half the loudness of shitty Asus.

i am thinking about to make some ventilation hole for the air flow idk.. but for me as im using it the heat is not an issue. barely hit high temp when gaming or ae 3d rendering. the boost/balance fan mode really helps. it just you know its annoying the rattling sound. other than that no complain ( really wish it comes with usb c type. but the budget constrain
