Anyone received this? Any idea what is the so called "exclusive" price for 800Mbps? If I were to click on the given link, it straight asking me to fill up info and submit. And, worst is, after submitting, the order is CONFIRMED. WTH.

I’ve also received this. Wonder what is the promo package.
*
Tried to call them at 100.

Was told everything follows existing package. But, speed upgade:
500mbps - RM199 (w/o unifi TV)
800mbps - RM239 (w/o unifi TV)

Forgotten to ask if MESH included. But, most likely not. I'm not convinced even after talked to CS. Better go TMpoint with black and white from them.

Turbo --> Super Value YEP 2019 (currently)

QUOTE(xCryptik @ Feb 22 2021, 02:45 PM)
Where is the details for that -> *T&C apply
*
No T&C. Nothing.

Something that you need to worry.

I don't understand how TM expects anyone to submit with this clause, without T&C, offer details, etc. Worst is, no package price list at all.

Really stupid of TM. Did you call them up to ask what's going to happen now that you've submitted?

I didn't get the email. Probably because I'm already on "unifi 800Mbps - Super Value YEP 2019".
*
I've posted earlier. I dare not to submit without details.

Mesh included, Free Mesh M4 for 300Mbps and Free Mesh M9 for 500Mbps & 800Mbps

unifi 300Mbps Loyalty Super - RM159
unifi 500Mbps Loyalty Super - RM199
unifi 800Mbps Loyalty Super - RM239
I am a new Unifi user in 3 months, and I also got this promotion.

What I understand about this promotion is that it is only offered to those who receive the email from unifi. And to be sure about this exclusive promotion, customers can make any unifi inquiry via 100 calls instead of livechat, because through voice calls, it will be connected to this Sales Department. For confirmation of this promotion, the department will ask for your unifi ID to confirm that your unifi account is eligible to subscribe to this promotion plan
*
I've called them up yesterday. However, there are things that I'm in doubt.
(i) Free Mesh? Forgotten to ask.
(ii) 600 Free min, isn't included. Yours?
(iii) Unify TV not included. Yours?

300mbps @ RM139 is a retention plan for Unifi users of 2018, it may not be available to new or users b4/after 2018.
Those users may be eligible for the 3 plans you mentioned previously:
300mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 159 (FREE MESH M4 + STD20)
500mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 199 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20)
800mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 239 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20)

I have been on Unifi fiber for 4 months only, which is still under contract, got the upgrade offered via SMS. However, I'm not sure whether new users could get it or not. Furthermore, IINM users can only change plans to a similar subscribed plan after 1 month. By similar means, any add-ons shall be remained for 24 months as well, eg. mesh units or Ultimate Plus Box.
So, I suggest you could try to get the offers after 1 month if they're not available for new user.

500mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 199 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20)

this promotion is offered randomly and for a limited time only, users who just subscribed unifi a month ago can also subscribe to this plan, the contract will be renewed
*
Not exactly true for STD20. If your current package doesn't come with STD20, it won't be included if you signed for this Loyalty Super Value promo. I have called them up several times through 100 (4), no luck. Went to TMpoint, no luck.

Worst is, I told them that I would sign up on the spot provided that STD20 is included. They don't border. NVM, contract ending soon. There are other providers to consider once contract ended.

Any idea why I can't get max speed? Just upgraded from 300 to 800. I'm quite sure that my router and phone are both capable of running at max speed or at least closer.

if you are still using an AC based router, you may only get around up to 500mbps only

*Make sure you use 5.0GHz WIFI
*Make sure the wifi channel for your 5.0ghz is different and there is no interference with other 5.0Ghz WIFI.
*Make sure you use Bandwidth 80Mhz and above
*
Yes, Asus RT-AC86U and Samsung S21 Ultra.
- Yes, 5.0GHz
- Channel and bandwidth, not sure. Will check later. Thanks.

Unless you are using AX router(Wifi 6) with AX supported smartphone, then get higher than 700+mbps is possible.

I using Xiaomi AX3600 with Mi 9(AC only-aka Wifi 5),and the highest speed that can hit only about 700mbps.(And this usually only can get on speedtest, for normal usage max 500+mbps is normal)

Edited:
The max 800mbps can be hit with ethernet cable from pc. Normally will be about 840+mbps DL/ 200+mbps UP.
*
Using LAN now, I don't have CAT6 cable. Thus, I'm using CAT5e. Getting even terrible speed.

Laptop WIFI hardware, Intel WIFI6 AX200 160MHz Intel® Ethernet Connection I219-LM (Amendment, using LAN, not WIFI)

try to use speedtest app from microsoft store if using windows 10

So, once you got your new router, problem solved? I'm using ASUS RT-AC86U, I don't think this router can't perform.

I've logged report to UNIFI. Waiting for them to attend to me.

I don't think it's a Cat5e problem. I'm also using Cat5e with UniFi800 and getting full speed. Perhaps try a different cable.

AC86U is not very powerful so make sure it's not configured to do anything that affects NAT acceleration. Not sure what features it has but things like traffic monitor, QOS and what not.
*
So, if it is router issue, will the supplied Tplink Mesh helps?

But, I do see others able to get 800Mhz with AC86U. Still, I don't believe it is router. But, I can't tell for sure.

Try use other phone and connect 5Ghz wifi see can hit 500mbps or not,if can then 95% not tm fault, should be end device unable to hit full speed.
From what i see from your case,as long as you dont have disconnect issue, and you can hit 200mbps upload speed, then normally will be the end device cant run to max download speed, but actually can get full sped.
*
Using Samsung S21 Ultra, no can't hit, far from reaching.

AC86U no problem with 800Mbps provided it's not configured to do anything that affects NAT acceleration. What model TPLink?

I have no idea what is NAT acceleration.

TPlink Deco M9 plus.

if lan, can get 500mb
*
Bro, mine is 800. cry.gif

WIFI and LAN, both can't reach.

Tech just came to my house but I wasn't around. He also can't get the said speed. Then, he left. I called him up, he said package already 800, but he also can't get. That's it. He's sort of asked me to accept it since I've received SMS said that issue has been restored. Think I should go for MCMC route already. He even asked me to complain lah!!! tongue.gif

Yes, you need to make a complaint to MCMC due to their failure to resolve the speed problem
*
About to do that. Thanks.

QUOTE(allenlyk @ May 2 2021, 12:42 PM)
i get about 690mbps on fast.com using wired with AC68U
*
I'm getting only half of yours.

QUOTE(heLL_bOy @ May 2 2021, 01:29 PM)
call them up again pressure them to get thing fixed. if technician can't figure out why can't get 800Mbps and why TM selling you this package otherwise just downgrade back the speed to 500 or 300Mbps.

and also ask them rebate back your billing on this issue.
*
Got it. The Tech told me that he doesn't have the equipment to test. He's using Redmi 9T as it showed up in my router's list. I was shocked. He even asked my children if we have iPhone 12 to borrow him to do testing. LOL~ laugh.gif

QUOTE(soonwai @ May 2 2021, 02:19 PM)
Take the Asus out. Try with M9. M9 can reach 800Mbps wired if everything else is ok.

Here are a few tests I did with my Deco M9.
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=96378294

The last one is where I removed my Mikrotik router and tested the Deco M9 functioning as the router.

user posted image

Also your test computer is not too old right?
*
OK. I haven't got my M9 yet. Will do a quick test once I'm got it.

I'm using HP EliteBook 840 G6.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 2 2021, 02:26 PM)
LAN should be able to hit 800mbps unless your CPU bottleneck. For Wifi understandably not easy to get the speed. You should call the MCMC talian aduan and report.
*
Not sure why, my S21 Ultra able to get an even faster speed with 5.0GHz compared to LAN connection to my laptop.
Will do it tomorrow. Thanks.

The HP should be fine. My above tests were done on a MacBook Pro 2013 which is even older than yours. 4th gen i7 I think.

Got another laptop or PC to test with?
*
Got PC, but too far away. I don't have such long LAN cable.

QUOTE(heLL_bOy @ May 2 2021, 05:54 PM)
the technician doesn't bring their own laptop to test your lan connection and using their own hp to test?  hmm.gif  actually most of technician will have 1 laptop standby to testing either over LAN or wifi but your case they doesn't do it.

if your s21 ultra able to get faster speed then your laptop  high possibility is your laptop issue  hmm.gif
*
Not sure. He asked for WIFI password. I told him he should use LAN but he said he can't. I knew when I saw his Redmi 9T appeared in my router list.

Not sure too. But, it's a fairly new laptop. Laptop getting around 300++ (LAN), WIFI (about the same). S21 Ultra 350 - 400++ range (5.0GHz).
