I recommend you make a voice call via100 and choose the fourth option (Products and promotions), from there it connects directly to the sales department, rather than to customer service. then, they will also ask for your unifi ID to confirm whether you are eligible or not for this exclusive promotion, they will also tell you in detail about this promotion including the terms and conditions

they will recommend you three exclusive packages

300mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 159 (FREE MESH M4 + STD20)
500mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 199 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20)
800mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 239 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20)
*
Thanks for all the information about promotion provided.
I'm a new user who just signed up in August last year, probably. I didn't receive any emails from unifi but I decided to try. So I called 100 just now to enquire about these promotions. And they offered me to upgrade my existing 300Mbps to 500Mbps = RM199 with additional RM40 (Unifi tv ultimate pack) or 800Mbps = RM239 with additional RM40 (for Unifi TV Ultimate pack) and will extend another 2 years contract.

Existing 500Mbps = RM248
Existing 800Mbps = RM349

Just want to ask, whether too much for a normal household to subscribe 800Mbps, since this upgrade package is attractive?

100mbps, 300mbps all depends on your typical usage.

If 10 of you just watching 1080p youtube, then 100mbps is more than enough.

As for 4k Netflix, one stream can consume up to 25mbps...

so it depends.

Like mine, 100mbps is more than enough. I downgrade from 800mbps to 100mbps. Paying too much for nothing.

And I set in my Mikrotik router to make sure nobody can consume more than 2/3 of available bandwidth. No bandwidth hoggers  sweat.gif  whistling.gif

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I knew my house's usage is not that much which needed 300Mbps above. Just this promotion is quite attractive for upgrade. Don't know can downgrade to 100Mbps 1st then upgrade again? Look much worth if I sign up 300Mbps again since got free mesh device.

Just do some network utilisation observation.. hourly, weekly, etc to get the usage trends.

[attachmentid=10796091]
Example - my daily utilisation. 100mbps is more than enough.  sweat.gif

As for upgrading / downgrading, it's possible, but be prepare to be locked into 24 months contract for every plan changes.  sweat.gif

Understood. I Will give it a call for a better offer even I'm within the contract.

I received a different reply today when I called again to confirm. This gal told me my package which is 300Mbps bundled with UPB is non-qualified for this promotion. And she said I need to choose those packages with UPB regardless of upgrade or downgrade. It's totally different when I called the last few days, as that guy told me I can still entitle the latest promotion, which just adds RM60 for the ultimate pack for UPB. In fact, I just want to confirm that RM60 only needs to pay within 24 months as I still on contract.

Who has the same situation as me?

any other setting need copy? like vci, etc
cos when i login to tm stock router,

I thought just select profile when configured then should be ok. Just make sure to buy the unifi/maxis/time certified router. Otherwise, need to self configure vlan

RM209 (300mbps broadband RM179 & unifi tv RM30).
This RM209 rate is after my previous 2 year contract ended in 2020.

Previous 2 year contract was RM139 (Apr2018 to Apr2020).
RM109 (RM179 - RM70) (300mbps broadband)
RM30 (unifi tv)
-------
RM139
====

I just checked my bills...From Nov 2020 onwards(7months after my previous 2 year contract ended), there is no more RM70 discount on broadband.
So, the price changed from RM139 to RM209 in Nov 2020.
*
Weird your discount was on broadband section, mine was on Unifi TV section blink.gif

So the new fiber port just installed right in front of my house is fully reserved apparently.
There’s only like 11 house in my area, i highly doubt all of them are subscribing to unifi

Agent mentioned only for streamyx users for now, which i cancelled 2 years ago because it was getting slower/no connection because cable stolen.
Just wanna ask how long do you usually have to wait until it’s your turn for installation.
*
The same situation with me, as I canceled Streamyx a few years ago. And that dp pole just in front of my house. TM also said port full or no available address in the system yet, blah...
I just went to Tm point and submitted my application. And I do send my application via few agents. Lastly, I reported to MCMC with pictures attached.
Finally, I got port without adding an extra port, in another week after I submitted it to MCMC

94Mbps is decent, just make sure no other devices using the bandwidth while performing speedtest. Well, ping only 5. Quite impressive!

"And that dp pole just in front of my house. TM also said port full or no available address in the system yet"

if a new DP is installed on the pole but it is said that the port is full or not yet in the system, that means yes it is not yet in the system. need to go through several phases including try n error on the fiber.

please do not request registration many times, including registration through multiple agents. Because of this, your unifi registration process will be a little complicated. I say that because TM staff including TM agents do not like this kind of thing. Because this will disrupt the process to open a port to your residence.
*
Actually, I went to TM point few times after I discovered dp was live in front of my house. However, TM always provide the same answer: No port or no such address exists in the system. But I can see clearly, fibre was connected to all my neighbors except my house. Moreover, only 1 dp with 8 ports (12 ports after added) need to cater to 20 houses. I don't think I will able to get it if TM continued to neglect my case. And I don't think the agent really submit my application as they said they need to wait for TM to add ports, then only can proceed with the application.

However, all those were history, and even now, that dp still has available port dry.gif

Not slightly oh. You can forget about offering gigabit plans in future if you cheat like that.

GPON Class B+ (ITU-T G.984) max allowed attenuation is 28dB(reading must be 26dB with 2dB allowance).

A 1:4 splitter installed in the FDC cabinet already takes up ~7.5dB. The 2nd 1:8 splitter inside the FDP will take up another ~11dB. You add another 1:2 splitter that'll add another ~3.5-4dB.

Easily you add up all 3 already close to ~23dB. That means you've just another 3dB allowance.
Cable length between OLT? Degradation over time?  Quick Connectors/ Couplers and resplices?

All will add further attenuation to the line.

Once you hit 25/26dB level, your customers will start crying everyday and shouting.

That is why TM HSBB network is NOT ready to offer gigabit speeds and symmetrical plans. It's in a HUGE mess due to bad planning design and cost cutting.

Guys, Unifi is blocking a lot of websites now. Actually all the Malaysian telcos are doing this now (more or less) and it started back maybe less than 2 months ago.

Even a health products website like iHerb.com is blocked by Unifi (their Malaysia version). iHerb has the cheapest vitamins and minerals and herbs you can get anywhere (in the world).

Confirmed already by iHerb thru email.

Do tm still give any unifi rewards / point to customer for bill payment?

As I already few months not getting it, although the bill is always being paid on time and on before due date. Btw, I usually use fpx or shopee pay, not sure whether it is limited to selected payment method only.
*
I did faced some issues as my 2 payments do not generate reward points into my 2 accounts. Take more than 2 months to rectify issue and TM just told me they already credited into my accounts previously just to shut my mouth up.

So I bought this router during the 22nd March sale. Got delivered within the next day by DHL. The router is good for the price range which I bought for RM139.77 with 300coins cashback(RM136.77 after taking into account the 300 coins cashback). Been using it for 9 days now and I never encountered any issues. Previously, I was using the unifi stock TP-link Archer AC1200 which does auto-reboot randomly itself. Is good that finally I ditch the stock TM router. To those who are using the stock unifi router, get yourself a own router. You can get the router at cheap prices during the upcoming 4.4 sales, 7.7, 8.8, 9.9, 10.10, 11.11 and 12.12 sales. The prices during this period are much much cheaper than during usual days. Just monitor the prices on shopee and Lazada. Follow Ookas, Ookas plus, Mono Digital other than the manufacture stores to get good deals. The price for this newly launched AC router has dropped in prices quiet a lot. Who knew that for a higher series router AC2100 can get for below RM140! BTW I just get this router for 1+ year usage till the wifi6e router comes out. Will be changing the devices as well so yeah.

How is the wifi performance? My parent's complained about WhatsApp video call lagging and tv box lagging sometimes. I was wondering about lagging perhaps due to TM router. So I plan to upgrade that router and my parent's only UNIFI 30Mbps. No need to buy a high-end router to cater to their needs.

if the wifi performance is good, but the internet is still lagging, it means that the internet problem is caused by the amount of device that is being connected. because every connected device needs good internet performance
*
Yes, I know but there are only 2 old parents and my 2 children there. Connected devices not more than 10 and not more than 5 concurrently instead. That's the reason I want to change that tm router.

The WiFi performance is solid. Till now I have never experience any WiFi drop connection. Regarding the WhatsApp call issue may I know what phone your parents is using? Because my mom's phone which is Oppo A53 does have this issue. But not all the contacts she make have till issue. Only 2 contacts does she experience with this issue. One house is using Copper with Netis orange VDSL and another fibre with the stock TP link Archer AC1200 router. I am figuring out is this WhatsApp app issue or the phone issue. My phone which is Honor does not have this issue. Hope you could reply back to me regarding this.
*
My mother was using Huawei y9 prime, and my wife was using Huawei y9 2019. But they said got lagging sometimes when they video call via WhatsApp. I suspected the netis router so I decide to change it to a budget model since my parents just use a 30Mbps package.
