Also received the unifi promo email in this afternoon, but I think I gonna change to TNB ALLO after my contract end this year. As it is cheaper and faster compare to unifi at the same price range. wink.gif
*
Ha, guess I'm not alone jumping ship to Allo
But my contract still got another 20 months, probably going to wait unless someone willinh to take my account brows.gif

Maybe you just can relocate the unifi to an adress which doesnt have any unifi/streamyx,then you can terminate without penalty? At least mine on last year when i relocated to an adress which doesnt have any coverage, TMPoint immediately inform me to terminate my unifi without any penalty. You just need to settle 1 month bill iirc
*
What documents are required for relocation?
Just find someone willing to lend me his IC and address will do?

From my experience, i just gave them the new to be relocated address only. At worst they will ask you for the TNB bills/water bills for the address iirc

Thanks, will give it a try later this year, I'm shocked by Allo's progress in Johor
Impian Emas, Senai, Saleng, Kulai all laying fiber
ETA October this year, no reason to stick with Unifi anymore.

Trying to play World of Warships on NA server, totally unplayable tonight
Ping over 900ms, with VPN to SG slightly better...400ms...still unplayable
Anyone wanna escalade this to MCMC together?

If like that i think that might be their internal issue, because what I saw from website said that login server is also hosted on the same network with game session server.
(I might be wrong, long time no play wargaming game.)

Edit:
That gameserverping site is not pinging the actual game server network of wargaming game.
*
Should be their shitty international routing at work again, as I'm not the only one affected according to few posts earlier...
If I take those numbers from gameserverping seriously, according to my calculation:
The moon is at an average distance of 240,000 miles from Earth.
Light, travelling at 186,000 miles per second would make a single trip from Earth to the moon in 1.29 seconds.
Ping to the moon and back to earth would be twice 1.29 times 1000, or 2580 ms,
That's the best-case scenario assuming there's nothing slowing the message down.

Bravo boys, means a Moon Rover gets better ping than my computer on earth from Malaysia to Germany on the other side of the globe! drool.gif
What an ISP! Wow!

Hi All, i have managed to connect to internet after doing the VLAN settings. Thanks alot!

But i still facing 1 issue- If i connect my new router directly with the modem, i can connect to internet - I live in condo, the modem is installed at my front door, ethernet cable is connected to the building's cable to a ethernet outlet in the living room. So when I try to connect the new router via the ethernet cable, no internet again.

Can i conclude that:
1. If i can connect to internet means my PPPoE password and other settings are correct
2. Connecting my old router to the ethernet cable in living room works okay - means the building's cable is okay too.
3. I tried clone MAC address, couldnt work too.

For this, do i need to do some settings to the Modem at my door?

That white Huawei thingy is an ONU, the green and yellow cables are both optical fiber cables.
Basically, it converts the optical signal to electronic signals that your wifi router can read.
Hence your wifi router connects to it via ethernet cable.

Be sure you're not connected to LAN 1 and LAN 4, those 2 are for IPTV and VOIP... no internet connection
You don't need to change any settings to the modem at your door when changing to a new wifi router, just key in PPPoE details, select Unifi VLAN, and boom it is done wink.gif

I see. I have connected the WAN port in new router to the ethernet outlet already. Still no Internet:(
*
Ah, your old router still works right?
2 months ago my friend request for PPPoE details, TM did send him and we entered them into the new router.
The new router won't connect with the new PPPoE details but oddly the old router with the default password still works...
Guess TM forgot to update the password in their system somehow?

Anyway , complaint has been lodged to MCMC through https://aduan.skmm.gov.my about High Ping and Packet Loss from Unifi to AWS US

Btw , u guys expect what reponse (excuses) they will reply me  hmm.gif
*
Excuses?
Customer using 3rd party equipment (Bad wifi, old PC, USB Wifi card something like that)
Someone hacking their network
Random shark ate their under-sea cable
ISP only guarantees connection quality within Malaysia
"We're looking into it" and closed the case, I'm going to place my bet on this rclxms.gif

ya , using v2ray now , connection to US become smoother after go through with GCP SG.
So good for being see the ping drop to 270ms+ again and no packet loss with full speed.
But shouldn't we get the services since we paid to ISP , and unifi is the ISP charge most expensive service fee among so many ISP in Malaysia[B] but presenting this kind of services.

Hardest to get along, most expensive to say bye-bye with

Guess what , they tell me run the test at TM Speedtest server
Holy shit.
Their cs wont see comment or what? wont see details one ah

I worked as a CS rep previously, not for TM but for another company.
We could only reply with prefabricated messages, just modify user details (name, numbers, amounts etc) and send them out;
That's why every time you chat or email CS you'll get similar replies.
Had to work with SOP, sometimes saying "we'll look into it" actually means "we'll do nothing' and straightaway close your case.
That's customer service for you innocent.gif

Not sure about TM notworthy.gif

Not just only to US server.

But to EU server also terrible.

I was considering to terminate my Unifi line if this carries on.

But shit, all of the Fiber providers have contract for 2 years. Cannot lah.

With our Bolehland connection quality, you can expect this kind of problem to happen within 2 years or less with ANYONE of them.

Previously I was having with Maxis Fiber and terminated for the same reason as now. Bad quality connection.

Now the irony is if I join Maxis, the connection will be "good" again.

Until the next time this happens.............
*
I'm waiting for Allo to finish laying their fiber, took them 2 weeks from zero to poles planted behind my house, and fibers being pulled just outside the taman.
If they're here, I'll surely terminate Unifi regardless of my remaining 20 months of the contract. Enough means enough bangwall.gif

BTW, here's a ping test from a fellow Allo user.
Not great, but at least better than T* at the moment

As I heard from my relative told me, they need to do so as they didn't store the password
