QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Dec 6 2021, 10:58 AM) The app only showed " unifi 300mbps Basic - staywithunifi". 2 years contract will be renewed. Next billing only can see the breakdown. Got member asked before, price shall be permanent. I just took it and after 2 years may look for another contract. Good deal. A bit tempted to down my price from the current 139 for 300Mbps (which is already a good price) since I'm out of contract and not planning to move anytime soon.

QUOTE(aniq8676 @ Dec 6 2021, 11:33 AM) The difference between Unifi 300mbps RM129 plan and Unifi 300mbps RM139 RM 129 - 300mbps RM 139 - 300mbps + 600 minutes Correct me if I'm wrong My RM139 is 300mbps, no free minutes. That was the plan I subscribed in 2017 or so I think. There's quite a few of us who did at that time (and then if lucky/smart also did YEP later on for permanent discount and a few months free). There's others with RM139 and free minutes as you mentioned. For me no loss, my mobile phone line is free call anyway.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Dec 22 2021, 04:13 PM) Thanks, never use their app before also. Wonder whether website got equivalent. EDIT: now installed the app, nonsense la. It shows I use 313GB in August for download (upload something like 100+GB) which seems fair.... but then it shows my download/upload for Sep is.... 2GB? Apa macam.... And then October 160/64 GB DL/UL. Nothing for Nov. This post has been edited by LostAndFound: Dec 22 2021, 04:54 PM

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Jan 19 2022, 11:22 AM) haih.... this tered encourages the very Malaysian trait we are all disgusted of: dishonest and cheating. truly satu Malaysia. Your chicken rice seller charge you RM8 but your neighbour got the same chicken rice for RM6. So you change clothes when buying chicken rice to try and get RM6 price for the same thing. Who is the dishonest and cheating one here?

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Jan 19 2022, 12:49 PM) so if seller employs preferential pricing, it then justify customers' employing lies to get better deal? i don't agree with how TM treats us, but to see adults using mistreatment to justify "rights" to lie.... wow.... no difference from the robbers and corrupted as they also think the world is unfair to them. and to see even have other ktards liking your statement. WOW. Almost no religious/ethical system in this world has a strict 100% no lying code. Lying is generally permissible in certain situations, because the real world is not a kindergarten class. Arguably lying is REQUIRED in certain situations as well. To take an extreme example, pro-life religionists will almost always justify lying in order to prevent an abortion not just acceptable, but laudable and perhaps mandatory. If you believe that lying to an overcharging service provider is ethically dubious, that's perfectly fine. It is not a universal value that everyone holds (even otherwise strongly ethical people). But of course if you paint it as being 'no different' from robbers and corrupted, then you have an extremely black and white view of the world which is quite divorced from reality.

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Feb 3 2022, 04:45 PM) Guys, just installed mine with 300Mbps unifi package and immediately headache for that. My house is double storey, and due to constraint, i have to route the fiber cable through the roof and put the router on 2nd floor living room. Problem is, we need 5Ghz to fully utilise 300Mbps (even 100Mbps), and downstair can't receive 5GHz at all. Can anyone recommend any good router + mesh system that can cater for full house 5GHz coverage? Budget is not an issue here. Thanks. Almost always better to run a wired backhaul rather than pure mesh if you willing to run cable.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Feb 4 2022, 09:52 AM) That is one reason why I always prefer corded over cordless phone. Cheap, easy to maintain without worrying about battery problem etc. But now not using landline anymore. Really hard to imagine still using landline when mobile plans got unlimited even for budget spend.

QUOTE(petpenyubobo @ Feb 10 2022, 11:00 PM) This 2 year bonding offered by TM with rebates is not worth considering should it be that if you terminate early you're required to put up with the remaining months bill. For other competitors such as Maxis, Celcom and DiGi their rebates with term contract such as 6 months pay for 30M plan but get 100M plan, if you terminate early. You're are not required to pay for remaining months in full. You are only required to pay for say 6months rebate of RM40 for RM89 100Mbps, you pay 6 x RM40 = RM240 for your early termination. That will SAVE you lot of trouble. So let's say Celcom offers 300M to you at price of a 100M plan your monthly rebate is like RM20 for next 24 months as customer retention offer. If you terminate within 24 months, you only require to pay remaining months x RM20 rebates that was offered to you. Not ENTIRE lum sum of remaining months. That's alot. True if you have possibility to terminate early. For own-stay home with family, the likelihood of change is very very low even after 10 year (my unifi subscription still maintain since that amount of time). If you are single and regularly moving then different considerations.

QUOTE(jasondotcom @ Mar 10 2022, 09:11 AM) Guys, I recently applied to port out from Unifi to Digi due to better package on Digi network. Anyway, long story short, TM received the port out request and immediately contacted me to counter offer me a better package deal and i took it. Real question here is, since there will be new binding contract of two more years, should i be getting new equipments? By right i should am i right? If not, why two years contract? Very common for new contract not to come with equipment, especially if you are getting special and better pricing. The contract is to lock you in as 'payment' for the cheaper package deal. That being said, what for you want new equipment? I'd be happier with cheaper price than new equipment, as long as my old one is working fine.

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Mar 10 2022, 06:05 PM) mine they give new modem, but im guessing its super cheap one, dunno what nokia black modem Modem they will change once in a while. It is belonging to them anyway (you have to return it when cancel), not to you. And this is one of the things which they won't charge you to change.
