Year by year tire manufacturer made different formula for each newer generation tires (even old/current model tires sometime they also change formula, like Yokohama in the past use orange oil to infuse, but nowadays no more but still same model). Nowadays all want comfort, better braking performance, better fuel economy, etc. There will for sure got some draw back, learn to live with it or change other brand/model tires.

some chipping is normal... excessive chipping then have to understand the causes and try to reduce lor if possible...
