I wonder why unable to leave comment or review on google and their fb. No wonder I failed to locate any before went for trial class. For parents who considering this school, maybe can refer to my experience before you decide.

The principal and teachers everthing is fine, just that they r having a realistic managing director madam sonia so call lady boss of the centre.

Im not sure she bring in the business is for money profit or truely have passion on kids education, judge yourself after i share my personal experience after sending my kid to trial class during cmco.

Due to CMCO, my kid current school unable to operate as their license is under minister of education. Therefore we got thinking to change school for her as she is playing and boring at home daily for too many months. And we dunno when the current school able to reopen.

We sent her to cherie hearts for trial class for first day, basically she ok with everything. We further enquiry some important info and make up the mind to send her for new semester on 4th jan 2021. For your info they r doing some promition on fees discount, which we dont care at all and just want to get a nice school for kid.

However we didnt commit anything officially yet. So your info its because we need to do the necessary discussion as we also need observe my kid response after home from school.

The principal invited to 2nd days and 3rd days trial class (asking infront my kid when i pick her up and her answer is yes), so we just send her and decided to observe and clarify all necessary info including payment method on last day.

Bad thing happened on last day. when we reached the doorstep on 7.45am, the madam sonia talk to us saying are u serious to join the programme as our trial class only meant for 1 day, if u want continue you need to join and commit registration on TODAY (saying it twice, my kid standing on their doorstep wondering what happened and like she doing something wrong)

My wife asking her whether she should handle the kid first before talk such thing to parents? And clarify we r coming due to we want to ensure kid adapt well and principal's invitation. I asked them communicate well and we r going to leave first. Also we expected rm80 payment for a day of trial classes as we enquiry before thats the cost of trial class. We dont mean to take any advantage from the said school.

I send my kid back to car and went back for a clarification with them. The madam sonia is busy with something else and not come out but sending the principal to talk to me. So "sincere".

Of course, im not going to send my kid there as final decision- FOR DEFINITELY. Make your wise own decision.

So you've discussed with the Principle. Was Madam Sonia aware of your arrangement with the Principle? Looks like you're getting special treatment for 2 additional trial day instead of just 1.

Maybe Madam Sonia wasn't aware of that but she closed one eye for your daughter to attend 2nd day? Of course I am just speculating on this.

This seems like an issue between you and Madam Sonia, why does that influence your decision to not send your daughter there? It's not like Sonia is going to be conducting lessons and showing your dotter the bitchy attitude. Just seems like a rash and stupid decision to me, but then again you didn't give enough details in your post so again, I am really just speculating more at this point.

No, I have no affiliation with Cherie Hearts, I don't even know they exist. Just a kepochitard now but feel free to share more with us

You did the right thing. Sonia should have checked what's the arrangement offered by the Principal. This kind of attitude problem owner who thinks they are some godly level elitist can fark off. Trial class is really no big deal. My kid's school offered trial class for a week. Who the hell intends of making money from trial classes? Trial classs for one day? This is a long term school. Not some extra curricular class. TS did the right thing.

Madam Sonia certainly has a bad attitude. She may not be aware that you were invited by the Principal for 2nd and 3rd day but even then there is no need to be so confrontational. Even after she found out from her Principal she didn't even bother to come out and apologize. You made the right decision.

The school is certainly out for profit. Even the trial class isn't free.

Don't send your kid there. Based on your experience, you will feel cheated each time you pay fees, no matter how good the school is. Look elsewhere.

Don't think you'll be happy sending your daughter there with an owner like that.

Which branch is it btw? Saw a lot on Google

I don't think TS is being over sensitive. She was asked in a very confrontational way with her answer demanded on the spot and with a tone that implied that she was taking advantage of the trial. It was just rude and arrogant and unfortunate for her daughter to witness the whole exchange. If this happened to you, you wouldn't be sending your child there.

My two cent. Stay away from franchise outlets. Firstly, they are standardised and follow protocols, usually not suited to kids who may require more attentive teachers.

secondly, when choosing which childcare to send your kid to, you should pick one that the teachers and principal are aware of parents and also have two way conversation frequently.

Thirdly, during your trial sessions, you need to watch how the principal interacts with the children and teachers. The principal is critical in the success of the childcare facility. Does the principal call the children at the centre by their name? Does the principal get involve with instructing the children around to various activities? How happy and passionate about teaching do the teachers look? All of this matters alot in having a positive environment for your kid to interact and socialise.

The principal is key. They can be money minded and pushy. That's okay with me because afterall, they are also a business and need to survive. BUT their job of teaching and being personally involve in my kid life is equally important.. I even ask my kids if they are happy at school. And you can obviously see when you pick them up and they are in a happy mood. It means they were having a good time at school and that is all that matters.

Also, raising kids isn't about dumping your kid to a childcare and not knowing about their development at school. You should always be comfortable having a chat with the teachers and principals too regarding anything about the kid and the activities they do at school.

I personally find that franchise centres do not customise their program and if a principal or teacher is too defensive, then honestly, your kid also won't have much enjoyment or benefit in their daycare.
