As long as it can start, it's a good start.

Or you can rtfm.

Push the car to around 15km/h or more, jump in the car, clutch in, (still clutch in) select 2nd Gear, quickly release the clutch, jerk and car starts

Not really recommended for modern cars with ecu and catalytic converters, I done before on myvi with no damage but the car was definitely not running at its best.

If old datsun sunny or first gen proton saga then by all means go for it

some said need 2 step start instead of direct and some said it not longer applicable as ECU will cut off all un-necessary devices when cranking engine

i still using 2 step to kick start my keyless car (especially cold start)

it's up to your own preferences..for my case

cold start = 2 steps..especially if parked for days
warm start = direct or 2 step

non keyless car = all 2 steps (i rike to wait all my gauge meter dit dit dit dit and tell me "ready") laugh.gif

Open the engine bonnet. Locate the starter cord and pull hard and fast. Repeat until engine starts.
