QUOTE(Baconateer @ Jan 27 2023, 12:16 AM) Not at all. I'm not sure what's the material.... Definitely not leather so the skin won't peel off like old leather lah. But not fabric either, it's too hard for my liking but you can press it down geh, maybe rubber? |

QUOTE(gustin @ Apr 11 2022, 05:46 PM) The only good alterseat chair in my opinion is the cg prime gold standard. every other chair is just meh. The build and quality of the cg prime feels A LOT better than the 2nd best chair cg 07 plus. been using on it for couple weeks and still good. the cg 07 i went and try, sit for 5 mins and I already don't like, sat the cg prime and feels so good and spacious. can check my reviews in 1 or 2 pages before this post Hey how is it coming along so far? The chair doing good? |

Try this Sihoo M57 from Aitsulab!
Start from RM879 with these main specs: 1. 3D adjustable armrest up down, left right and front back, very useful when I'm switching from using keyboard and mouse to using phones when leaning 2. 2D adjustable headrest From my experience, headrest is for supporting neck, but not supporting head Rotatable and up down adjustable headrest, useful also 3. 2D adjustable lumbar pillow One of the top reason I bought this chair... It supported my back cause I need to face computer for more than 8 hours a day Up down and front back adjustable, very very useful.. Can feel the back is supported... 4. Full mesh design This design is just for Malaysia weather, cause I WFH, so that no more butt sweat and I wont feel hot.. The specs are just perfect for people like me who face computer more than 8 hours a day This is their official website... Lot of installment available too... ![]() You guys can google their website : AITSULAB |

Hi,
Looking for a home office chair for ~10hrs of work per day. Prefer IKEA since easier to do any warranty claims; previously used Markus and OK with it except I removed the armrest. Has anyone tried GRUPPSPEL and JARVFJALLET and can comment? Probably going for Gruppspel grey fabric version because I want the 4D armrest but I like Jarv's mesh back + adjustable seat pan. Next step up from IKEA would likely be Steelcase / HM but seems like a big big jump. Appreciate your inputs thx |

QUOTE(020050 @ Nov 14 2022, 12:28 AM) I am having the same dilemma as well picking a chair for my WFH setup. I went to IKEA to try Flintan, Markus, Millberget, Langfjall etc. Hihi, mind sharing any thought after 4mths-ish with LIV 10? Markus is comfortable except I hate the armrest material. Feels like a sticky rubber. And the headrest is too high for my height (I'm 165cm). Langfjall is the best but it is high back w no head rest. Was reading LYN forum and look for other alternatives as well - Anggun, Steelcase.. but I have not tried them. Next that I tried was Altercase chairs at their showroom. CG Prime mesh material and lumbar support is quite good, and I also like how easy to adjust the lumbar support, but the headrest is the problem again. Too high for me, even when set at lowest position. The SA there mention it is more suited for people 170cm and above. Long story short, I ended up buying LIV 10 even though it is the low end range of Altercase. It ticks most of the boxes with the headrest suits my size and provide very good support to my neck. None of the DT or CG model can beat that (for my body). Point is, when choosing chair, I think testing it out is the best way of choosing. If I just based on my reading, I definitely would have bought CG Prime. Despite its bells and whistles, I would still be disappointed as would not get good fit from the headrest. Alterseat, with its showroom and friendly SA, really makes buying and choosing easier for me. Took me about 15mins to test out their ranges and decide. I really recommend going there, or any other showroom brand that you prefer to try out. That would help you by a lot to make decision and save a lot of time being in dilemma just by reading (like me 😂) Looking for a WFH chair and have tried CG Prime mesh, same sentiment that the headrest is too high (161cm here). Not yet tried LIV 10 though and will drop by their showroom this weekend to try. TIA! |

Anyone waiting for Steelcase Karman? Apparently it ships this year.
Was considering Aeron and Contessa 2 for high end full mesh chair, but TRAX seems to charge a huge markup for them. Steelcase from ELY seems more competitively priced, but no full mesh option in the lineup currently |

QUOTE(Takudan @ Nov 29 2021, 12:43 AM) OK, time for me to contribute 1 lengthy review since I got my chair now Still dilemma in between M57 and V1, M57 is my first option, but when I read M57 dimension details from Aitsulab website, the maximum height of M57 armrest from floor is 70cm only, is that true? Which means still under my table height, I prefer to adjust armrest to be same height as my table, so I opt for V1 because the armrest height can adjust to my table height, however was told by seller that V1 is too big for small size people, so I have hard time to choose now. lolMy own stature: 165cm, normal BMI Sihoo M57 (black with legrest) Price: RM829 (originally priced RM859) I found this seller via Shopee/Lazada, then went to their store as they offered test sit (on rejected units). They offered a minor discount that will be applicable on 12.12, on top of that free delivery and installation. In hindsight, it is better to just buy from them online because: 1. you will be able to use the platform's vouchers, securing a much cheaper deal. 2. they still offer free delivery nonetheless. 3. In case of seller issues, you have the platform as a leverage to get refunds. I'm just self-consoling at this point that I didn't have to install the whole thing myself » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Overall rating: 7/10 Summary: there is room for improvement, and I'm still looking for my sweet spots, but overall okay. I sat on this for a week now, about 10 hours daily. I no longer feel lower backaches compared to when I had only the plastic chair, but now I'm still struggling with a bit of shoulder ache, also trying to self-correct on my bad sitting posture. No ergonomic chair will help if your posture is wrong. Update: I learned that one major reason to my shoulder ache is because of my work desk - it's too tall for me. I work around by maxing out seat and armrest heights to level my arms with the tabletop, but I end up straining my shoulders for that, and I have to rest my legs on a footrest. It has many adjustable parts so it took me a while to get the adjustments right but that is a good problem to have I love the legrest, the minor topup was totally worth it. Wide seat allows me to be flexible and fold my legs up if I want to (not recommended for ergonomics though). -1 Limited armrest adjustment: as I only occupy 60-70% of the chair, the armrests are too far apart for me. They are a bit awkward for me to rest both arms on. -1 Armrest discomfort: plastic made armrests (I presume for durability reason) are a bitch to rest your elbows on. Boy they hurt when I rest on them for prolonged period. It does not help that my old cheap desk is not 100% fit to the chair and myself, so I cannot have a 90 degree ergonomic elbow posture. Will need to DIY wrap them with something softer, but I guess they will stick out like sore thumbs,... if you care about looks. -0.5 headrest is very, very hard to adjust. I'm still looking for a good spot for me but I feel the need to adjust it every time I alternate between lounging and working. At least after adjusting, I can feel my head and neck are rested. -0.5 Can't lie on your back further than 100~110 degrees. Wanna lie further back when I'm off work... but I can't feel lazy enough lol. Other comparisons: Benel Q-Mesh This was my office chair, I think... they're more than 8 years old so it's a bit hard to find an older model. I used to think they were great, until I went back just last Friday to sit on them again. The lumbar support was horrendous as it the depth is not adjustable. I never realised it was not suitable for me before this because I always had my plushie to cushion my back (but due to pandemic, I took it home). Also, only the back is mesh, but it was not a problem for me at the office because it's air conditioned. All in all it is simply inferior to Sihoo M57 is terms of adjustability, but I guess the durability is definitely proven, having lasted so long in my company office lol. IKEA Matchspel I tested it at their outlet, which was also air conditioned, but I reckon it will not be a nice sit for me at home due to its leather seat. Otherwise, I think the mesh is comparably softer(?). Headrest was a little awkward and not adjustable enough. Could've been a decent choice if they offered a full mesh version. On other note with IKEA chairs, they are generally not very adjustable, so it's easy to find them incompatible, which turned out to be the case for Markus on me. |
