Need awning for gerai tepi jalan 6 months later? So enforce aje now

If local authorities really have the right to break into somebody houses just because part of their premises had done illegal/unpermitted renovation, then this is totally a security alert to all the residence in Malaysia...

As for the awning legitimate matter, I believe it should be done in the proper manner. Such as serving warning notice and a due date to settle it, instead of cutting someone lock and just demolish it, worst is without the owner present some more!!!

My house, we have had an awning for 15 years, no issue, and another awning over the driveway installed three years ago, never any issue, never applied a permit also. Location, PJ. House semi-d, maybe neighbors are all old residents and no complaints.

BTW, the whole stretch of my road, houses always doing minor renovation (up to and including hacking to put a new verandah roof), never seen any permit or signboard also.

I think the awning should have install gutter, then no issue with rain water.

Btw anyone know awning can install gutter? So far I observe in my area, the only houses with gutter, are those the roof/verandah are proper built one, like concrete and tile type. Not metal frame awning.
